Years ago I decided that taking one day off after travel to recover, do laundry, etc, was an overall gain in work efficiency for the week following a trip. I highly recommend this strategy! Also I am terrible at actually implementing it and I may need to file a formal complaint against myself.

This infuriating attitude shows up on the bookshelves in learning environments, too. We expect girls to empathize with boys, but we kneecap every opportunity to let boys empathize with girls. And look where we are.

Idaho Banned The Pride Flag. So Boise Wrapped the Flagpoles Themselves In Pride Colors. As public acknowledgements of LGBTQ life come under attack, local governments and citizen activists alike are fighting back in bold and creative ways.

1. Idaho banned the pride flag on government property. So Boise made the pride flag their official city flag, which allowed them to fly it.

Then Idaho banned new city flags.

So in response, Boise has now wrapped the poles themselves in rainbows!

My patient would rather take a peptide than a statin. That reveals an uncomfortable truth in medicine β€œThe volume of evidence behind a therapy has become inversely correlated with public trust in it,” writes Vikas Patel.

"My patient is refusing a drug studied in 170,000 people because of side effects that a 124,000-person analysis just confirmed do not exist β€” while injecting a compound studied in 14 humans, from unregulated sources, based on the recommendation of someone who profits from selling it."

i don't think an adaptation needs to capture the precise experience of playing the game to be good

the film should be supplemental and through that lens, could be a worthwhile additional window into the world of elden ring

if it sucks, the game will always be there for me irreplaceable as always

Elliot Haspel on X: "So look: are there large numbers of Americans whose literacy isn't fabulous and who would have trouble comprehending the NYT cover-to-cover? Sure. Are there a minority who really struggle with adult illiteracy and need support? Absolutely. But half of Americans aren't reading" / X So look: are there large numbers of Americans whose literacy isn't fabulous and who would have trouble comprehending the NYT cover-to-cover? Sure. A full disc image of Earth, as seen from the Orion Crew Module. The planet is a pale blue, swirling with white clouds and glowing slightly lighter blue in place from reflected light. At lower left, a large brown landmass is Africa, with Spain and Portugal with twinkling lights where the planet curves. At top right, auroras glow in a thin green glow, just barely separated from the planet's surface. Earth is set against the black of space (pic: NASA/R.Wiseman)

More context on this #Artemis II image:

* This is the night side, lit by moonlight. You can see city lights in Spain & Portugal, & a sliver of day at lower right

* The Sun is entirely behind Earth, which makes it a kind of solar eclipse, but w/ Earth doing the eclipsing instead of the Moon:

Trans women are biological women. Trans men are biological men. Please stop using the phrase β€œbiological” to distinguish cis from trans people. Cis does just fine and you’re also revealing your own ignorance of how biology works, as well as underlying inherent transphobia, even if unintentionally.

Pathetic, cynical groveling, both for Streeting to write it and for Pink News to publish it. This is designed to pander to a straight cis audience, not anyone who actually follows what is going on or will be affected by it.

All Anti-LGBTQ Legislation Defeated in Georgia as 2026 Session Ends "Scapegoating LGBTQ+ Georgians is not a winning political strategy," said Georgia Equality's executive director.

Great news out of Georgia!

ALL of the 15 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have died as the Georgia legislative session comes to a close.

This was only possible with intense efforts from local LGBTQ+ activists.
