What’s a guy gotta do around here anyway?

FLD is an excellent stopping place if I’m unable to get into Oshkosh. Just wish the letters were in the right order.
Yep, mine, too. But this is a popular thing in the American midwest, and I think the original poster knows that and is joking.

You’re going to get a lot of quotes here, so I’ll pile on. “Romans, they go house?!”
Huh. It’s almost like that’s not the real purpose of police forces.
I automatically heard (British Bake-Off) Mary Berry’s “spooonge” in my head as I read this post.
After almost twenty years on the platform, EFF is logging off of X.
This isn’t a decision we made lightly, but it might be overdue. 🧵 (1/5)

“Fondly,” I guess.
How do they though?
That’s not the issue, but thanks.
Oh it’s so much more brutal that that. Yeah, you can get a shell, but typically the images built are minimized, so few tools are available. And a lot of the kernel services are missing. It’s just nasty.
As more and more of our build and test infrastructure moves into containers, where it's substantially harder to debug or trace anything, the "old man yells at cloud" expression has taken on all new meaning.
Even if not flying as a safety pilot for instrument training, there can be complications when there are multiple pilots. It's important to talk over the roles and responsibilities before taking off. There've been accidents caused by misunderstanding in cases like this.
The role of a safety pilot can be complicated. There can be inter-personal issues. The exact duties might not be clear. Dealing with emergencies becomes more complicated. And unless you're a trained instructor, you're probably not completely comfortable flying a plane from the right seat.
This meeting won't be about formation flying. That's a much bigger topic.
It's about flying with two (or more) pilots on board. Often, we do that so one can fly with a view-limiting device to simulate being in the clouds while the other serves as a "safety pilot" looking for traffic.
Gammon is uncooked ham. In this case though it is cooked … so it’s just ham and they’re being difficult. ;-/
Swede is rutabaga. Named differently for what I assume are reasons.
I really miss our local family-run Mexican place in Lawrence, Café Azteca. Great food and we got to know the family and the servers over a couple of decades.
Oh my gd, the Artemis II crew doing a parody of a bad 1980s sitcom intro from in space.

The only reports I’ve seen are based on estimates from AEI’s Elaine McCusker. I don’t know of any serious investigative reporting on this.
This is the sort of thing that amuses me. The uname "kernel version" string is limited to 64 bytes. And the Ubuntu guys have larded the message with so much grot that the year gets chopped off:
% uname -v

Submittable works for me. Or “submission-ready” if someone doesn’t like it.
This will end in disaster. Not only are these apes unsuited to working in an area with that responsibility, but now others who want to break security know that they’re the weak link.
Really figures that the rest of his timeline is just sports stuff. I was hoping for some more wild takes but was sorely disappointed.
