I very much take issue with Mo Sihota on CBC Early Edition this morning characterizing calls to maintain DRIPA "extremist." The rights set out in UNDRIP (DRIPA) are minimum human rights standards. In no other context would it be acceptable to repeal human rights.

DRIPA’s strength lies not only in what it set out to do, but in how it was developed: years of consultations with First Nations culminating in unanimous support from members of this House.
Amendment or repeal of DRIPA will break trust with First Nations that has taken 50 years to rebuild.

I split the vote? Maybe the #BCNDP and the NDP candidate had something to do with it too? The BCNDP have failed it supporters on all levels - investment in health, housing & food while giving corporations the keys to the kingdon.

To the candidates competing to repeal SOGI, I want to say something plainly. You are not punching up. You are punching down. You are targeting the most vulnerable students in our school system, kids who are already being bullied at rates that should disturb anyone who has ever met a child
