Just discovered there’s an open teaching position that would be a huge step up in my career. And I genuinely believe I could get it.
But if I did, I would have to move away from New England. Which I do not want to do at all.
What do you all think?

OH, I didn’t know that, that makes so much sense. Same thing happened with one of my schools last year, and we ended up struggling a bit.
Atlanta Quest: Happy they got to be streamed after the earlier snafu, because I actually really enjoyed that show. They took some wild swings with the music design, and I genuinely loved it (I’ll never say no to Britney). And the kids looked like they were having a blast.

Rhythm X: Holy sh*t. What a show. What a performance. I’m speechless. Those kids and that staff should be very proud of themselves.
(I need to revisit that to catch everything I missed.)

RCC: Did I understand the show? No. Did I have a blast watching? Hell yeah. That music design was so good, and the kids performed it so well. I loved the dance party vibes of the setup. And to no one’s surprise, this group has been the best visually all night. Bravo.

Pulse: That show took several turns design-wise that I was not expecting, and I love when a group can keep me on my toes like that. Beyond that, I loved their energy, and that guitar player was great.

Broken City: I was actually surprised by how aggressive the show design got at times, and it makes me excited to see them expand their musical language. But there is still a style they’re known for, and the kids played that style phenomenally. Will definitely watch again.

Music City Mystique: That was a fantastic show. Loved the music design and thought there were a lot of cool things happening visually. And if there’s one thing MCM can do, it’s a big ensemble moment.
(Also, that front ensemble is one of the best out there. Major props to them.)

To the kid who yelled that they loved strobe lights on the FloMarching livestream: I love your energy, don’t ever change. 😂

Infinity: The music and sound design was fantastic, and the kids played the heck out of it. Will definitely go back to watch that show again, because I loved listening to it.

RIGHT?! If this is going to be their thing, can they get it together? Please?!
Yep, kept trying to refresh the entire time, getting angrier each time.
George Mason University: I deeply admire the gall to do a sequel to last year’s show, and some moment did make me belly-laugh. But I wish they had gone as far with it as they did last year.
Those kids were clearly having a blast though, and they played really well.

Rhythmic Force: Full disclosure, I taught here for 4 years, so it’s tough for me to be objective. But they crushed that performance. I loved the visual design (especially everything with the lights), and Markworth’s music is still superb. Love these kids, and so happy to see them here. 💚

POW: I’m gonna be real, I didn’t understand the show. But I did love the use of color, and I’m always here for a dark reinterpretation of a pop song. (Especially if it’s Kylie.) And those kids played really well.

Dark Sky: I honestly loved that show. Simple design that the kids were able to do a lot with. Loved the sound design, and there were many moments where the music got me hyped.
(Also, props to the kid handling the electronic issue at the beginning. That’s a pro right there.)

Matrix: There was so much happening that I honestly got a little overwhelmed. Lots of cool individual concepts, but definitely feel like I missed stuff. Those kids performed the hell out of it though, loved their energy.

Unfortunately completely missed Atlanta Quest because the stream went down. I’ll check it out another time.
Um, did anyone else’s FloMarching stream suddenly end? #wgi #flosports 👀
Cap City: I liked it! There were some fascinating things happening on a compositional standpoint, and I wish I could have heard the full thing live based on what I saw. Solid visuals as well.
Redline: What a delightful show! Loved the use of color, and those were some inspired music choices. A little messy on the performance side, but the kids clearly had fun, so who cares?
(Also, I really want to know how they made that floor.)
#wgi #drumline
Infinity2: LOVED the production design, and those kids committed to the performance. But I wanted them to go further with the concept, and the show felt like it just ended (especially since they brought those goggles out for the last bit). #wgi #drumline
WGI World Finals are starting any minute. Gonna give live-posting a shot. Let’s do this. 👍🔥 #wgi #drumline
Anyone have any advice for telling a friend that you want to be the person they vent about negative stuff to?
Anyone else have “You Oughta Know” stuck in your heads this morning? Or all you all normal about your shows?
If I understood the corporate speak of the email right…I got the job. 😁🎉
Men (derogatory) but also Men (🥴)
Relearned the hard way today to just do the thing.
Spent so long seeing if anyone wanted to get free ice cream with me that now it’s too late for me to go.
Should have just gone by myself.
Help, I liked one post on Threads, and a really hot and funny gay guy in San Diego full-on followed me out of nowhere. What does it mean?!
I don’t know, I find it weird that at lunchtime, the line at Dunkin Donuts is longer than the line at McDonald’s. 🤷♂️
