Racism is just another aspect of our species rapidly expanding and cancerous mental health crisis. Unfortunately it's having enormous and inescapable impacts on the only livable environment we currently (and may ever) have access to.
We need to start identifying, marginalizing and disempowering racists as basically mentally ill people who REQUIRE intellectual, moral and social instruction via educational institutions, clinical settings/methods and beyond.
That's not to say that their aren't real social and environmental impacts from that kind of "race" based thinking, but if you are racist then you are hallucinating about something that doesn't actually exist in the physical world.
We need to start publicly treating "race" as what it is, a social construct invented and maintained by scientifically ignorant people. It's a fantasy. The only thing that has ever existed is genetic ancestry and culture, and no region/culture has ever had something like a "pure" genetic ancestry.
We're allowing racists to destroy the only real "wealth" in our solar system.
With the way that human induced mass biological extinction is currently going via racist extraction capitalism, it's eventually going to be just 1 biological species left, then zero as we die out from a destroyed environment, lack of food, etc.
People like Elon Musk want to reduce everything on this planet to one inbred, impotent and vulnerable group each. They want one god, one type of bird, one kind of plant, one breed of dog (in Musks' case something like an inbred and insane Golden Retriever) and nothing more.
Ultimately people who think like this R the enemies of ALL LIFE IN THE UNIVERSE. Biological and genetic diversity R the elements that keep all living species and our environments strong and viable. It our ancestors to evolve into the only human species that currently exists on Earth; Homo sapiens.
Italy's citizenry, population and culture has always been waaaay more diverse than these racists' pea-brained definition of it.
If your answer is a very specific set of superficial and visually identifiable phenotypical traits that people like Elon deem "white" enough to be "real Italians", then you aren't actually interested in the reality of what Italy is as a region or what Italians as a people and culture actually are.
Whenever you hear someone say something dumb like "Italy is for Italians", the next question you need to ask yourself is "what exactly IS an Italian"?

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.
