Bright elliptical galaxy glowing softly with a smooth, rounded core surrounded by faint stars in deep space. Text reads: "Elliptical galaxy: An old soul, Has a vinyl collection for the sound quality, Online vintage “entrepreneur”.

Three galaxies connected by a faint bridge of stars and gas, illustrating the merging process in deep space. Text reads "Merging galaxies: Inseparable besties, “Let’s hang out!” → suddenly it’s 3am, Can be a little clingy.

Dense galaxy cluster with numerous stars and galaxies glowing against a dark space background. Text reads "Galaxy cluster: Knows everyone somehow?, Wants to start a band, but can’t play an instrument, Loves hosting themed parties.

Which astronomical object are you? Comment below! ⬇️ 😉

All of these objects were taken from NSF–DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory's view of the southern region of the Virgo Cluster, ~55 million light-years from Earth & the nearest large collection of galaxies to our own Milky Way. 🔭🧪

The Pleiades, Taurus, Aldebaran, and some clouds - AstroBin The Pleiades, Taurus, Aldebaran, and some clouds

Astrophotographers - I'm prepping an outreach talk and I want to include a wide-angle picture of the night sky that includes the Pleiades. It shouldn't be zoomed in almost at all - I want it to emulate what you would see with your eyes. Does anyone have one? 🔭

Thinking of something like this:

Merciii ☺️.

The Galaxy M63 shot using the combination of images shot with two same scopes (Skywatcher Quattro 200P) but different cameras (a color ASI294MC, and monochrome Poseidon-M). 15h of integration time showing lots of small galaxies in the background.

Hello all #astrophotography aficionados! Here's M63 shot with my friend Alex who's not on BS. We used same scopes but different cams. Combining our images gives this deep field with lots of small galaxies. What do you see @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social ? Details over here: www.astrobin.com/fgk1qm/

NGC 3344 is about 24 million light years away from Earth and is located in the constellation of Leo Minor. It’s a beautiful barred spiral galaxy seen almost face on.

NGC 3344 - The Sliced Onion Galaxy captured from my patio on seven nights this month 😊🔭

It was shot on the EdgeHD 8 for a total integration time of about 46 hours in LRGB and Ha to reveal the star forming regions.

Thanks Bernd! After 80 days of abstinence I had to shoot as much as I could 🤪....it was also a good opportunity to know my 200mm Quattro a bit more 🥰.
