I wonder how much time app developers have wasted on explaining to users that widget updates just aren’t reliable. There are entire categories of apps the just don’t get made because widgets still, after years and years, kinda suck.

Reading this while nervously putting away the new note I started called “App Idea: …”

Is there any iOS app out there that provides me a large sized widget showing both calendar events and Apple reminders tasks for all items both overdue and today?

Basically I want the large widget that Apple calendar provides, but only shows today’s items.

Much deserved recognition. Great app!

Definitely is! You can use custom domains for GitHub pages tho! No need to change hosting providers. All my apps websites are hosted on GitHub pages!

Cloudflare. You can probably get by on their free offerings. I’d also check out GitHub Pages for hosting static pages.

Sounds fun! But at 6 dollars for the shelf delivered tomorrow I’d probably just pull the trigger. 😂

Would an acrylic wall shelf held in place with command strips suffice? It’s not a perfect solution but it would be cheap and wouldn’t damage the displace. Command strips are pretty reliable and strong.

The marketplace is indeed hyper crowded. And while I consider myself an indie developer, I do still have a day job.

I just build apps that I want to see in the world. My latest app Scoot was built after seeing the frustration my girlfriend had with other ride tracking apps.

👋 Hi, I’m an iOS developer passionate about building apps that make life easier and more fun!

I’ve created Bound (for audiobooks), ScanBoy (for scanning), Ephemera (for bookmarks), and Scoot (for ride tracking).

I don’t post a lot but I’m always exploring new ideas and open to connecting—say hi!

Ok. False alarm. Cross postingng to Threads did indeed work from micro.blog. Threads decided to publish it 3 hours an after I initially sent it but that’s a Meta API problem not a micro.blog problem.

I woke up this morning to see that they indeed went through, albeit 3 hours after I initially posted them. I’m chalking it up to a hiccup with Threads and not micro.blog at this point.

Thanks for the response!

Thanks! Is Threads cross-posting down? I've successfully linked my account, but my recent post was only posted to Mastodon and Bluesky...

Hmmmm. It successfully crossposted to Mastodon and Bluesky, but not Threads…

Just testing out the cross posting feature from micro.blog. I don’t post much but I want to know if this works. 🙃

I’ve had trouble signing into my account. Is it a 2FA issue? I get a code emailed to me from bluesky after trying to log in but there’s no place to put it and micro.blog shows an error. Thoughts?
