That's obviously not an comprehensive definition (ppl have financial fetishes, ppl can be motivated my money and desire at the same time) but I think it's a helpful heuristic

If the person(s) depicted would engage in the act, in this way regardless of the presence of the viewer, then it's less porny. The more the content is influenced by financial insentive the more porny

Okay, I did the obnoxious thing of looking up the etymology of "pornographic" but it actually kind of clarifying for me. Thinking of porn as content about "people who engage in sex acts for money" gets at an relevant economic component of the question:
