The summer was awful and stressful and gross but I survived and it’s autumn now so it’s officially time to screech into the blue void again about my various projects and novels and elaborate dreams of writing

Today is weird and gross and overwhelming for so many people. To everyone who is at risk because of this bs please know I see you, I hear you, I stand with you, and I will do everything in my power to help you through the next four years and into infinity!

Update on this goal: have yet to write anything for the short story but I did write a decent chunk for the unhinged WIP so that’s something!

Hoping I can settle into this new routine quickly so that I can get back to writing because I am brimming with ideas! 🤞🤞🤞

The goal for this weekend is to write the bones of a short story that’s been bouncing around in my head since New Years.

Studying up on Thomas Cromwell for personal interest reasons, and suddenly the primary antagonist in my current WIP is making a whole lot more sense 😲

I have to specify which wife because there is the actual wife (aka my best friend who I’ve lived with for the past 6 years), the bar-wife (aka my fav coworker from my side gig), and the literary-wife (aka my longtime writing bestie who keeps me accountable)

Foaming at the mouth because my literary wife is sending me her beautiful words as soon as she’s done editing so I can devour them with my eyeballs and probably cry because it’s so good!

How this woman doesn’t have an agent yet is beyond me…

Corporations seem to really not get that “cyberpunk” is a literary genre about anti-corporate rebellion in a dystopian wasteland of extreme disparity between the wealthy elites and the common folk, between the empowered and the powerless…

…and not just “when stuff is cool, but in a tech way”

Random Life Update: overworked my wrist at my bartending side gig two weeks ago, and it /still/ hurts! I cannot yet tell if this is a new disability symptom or just a sustained injury/sprain, but I’m over it.

Truth be told, I’m even more solidly dug into my writer dream of writing a story about the rise/reign of the Evanuris, the world of the ancient elvhen, and Fen’Harel’s rebellion.

Finally finished Veilguard… I have so many thoughts/feelings. I’ve waited for this game for so long, it’s hard to think that wait is completely over. I finally know the end (so far).
