Not even sure where Tottenham are going to get their points from next season if they don’t have Man City to play

Underappreciated how much one of the main things Spurs lost when they lost Kane was, simply, someone who English referees want to give fouls to. Astonishing the number of times Xavi Simons has been clattered and given nothing this season. He must hate English football

No one who has watched Tottenham this season could possibly describe them as “too good to go down”

I've wanted Arsenal to win about six football matches in my life, and they've lost all of them. By any reasonable, meaningful and accurate definition of the adjective Spursy, they are the Spursiest football club that exists

I love that Olise went to the byline several times in the first half so now he can cut in on his left at will. So few modern wingers properly threaten to go either way

I can't really get over the bridge

"We met at Forthlin Road
And wrote a secret code
To never be spoken
I stand by what I said
The promise that I made
Will never be broken"

in the Paul McCartney song because on one level it's just a nice little lyric ...

Spurs being refereed like they're a small club this season, maybe even with referees taking added relish in that they're a big club-turned-small club

Really pretty funny that two of the four most unlikeable football clubs in the world can be knocking out two English clubs tonight, and most English football fans will see that as a karmic feelgood story

Everything disparaging people say about Spurs (often fairly), but not often mentioned in 2017 they had a champion season - 86 points, won 12 of their last 13 games. But it just so happened Chelsea had an even more champion season. But turns out it didn't just so happen.

Obviously not enjoying this Fulham-Spurs game at all apart from the fact that Oscar Bobb is really a very enjoyable name to hear spoken

I don't know how they'll win games. There are no fit players who are matchwinners. None. They had a few games around the turn of the year where they didn't play that badly, and the games were right there to win, and they just didn't. They're currently the worst team in the league

Indeed. Though when that happens season after season, it feels less like bad luck, and more like bad recruitment. Maybe sign less injury-prone players ...

I do feel bad for Frank. I think recruitment and the players are more to blame than him. This really is such a bad squad of players. Like, when Porro arrived, I just thought "he's fun, but a total liability" but now it's "why can't the rest of them be more like Porro"

Starting to wonder if at Brentford last season, it was actually Frank that coached dead balls (which, big tick, Tottenham are better at than under Ange) and Andrews that did everything else
