CATL, the world's largest battery maker, joins BYD and Geely in the fully-charge-in-under-10-minutes club. This will speed the transition to EVs as fast as shutting down the Straits of Hormuz.

The majority of Chinese cars use LFP batteries. The L stands for lithium.
Is it a positive thing if oil companies and gas stations just keep the price the same and steal this "tax relief?"

I think these flash charging networks could drive sales for BYD and Geely.
It'll be interesting to see just how much they can move the needle before the rest of the industry can catch up.
Yeah, I can't be bothered to play it everyday.

I feel like Carney is as good a leader as any country can get. Hope the next American President is half as good.
Filming this week's promo in a pen with baby goats and banana leaves was not my worst idea. 🤣

$61,995 for a 2023 BMW i7 xDrive60 that stickered at least double. 24,405 miles. This thing is sick and whoever gets it will be pretty thrilled.
I'd wait a couple of weeks before pulling the trigger, though (new refresh coming which could hit used prices). www.cars.com/vehicledetai...
I see ABC (Australia) has answers to its readers most burning questions.
...or at least lobbying against imports from China (which is weird, since that's not happening any time soon).
Here's BMW not crying about China hurting sales of its iX3.
"With well over 50,000 new orders since ordering opened in Europe, customer interest in the BMW iX3 is exceeding our high expectations.” www.press.bmwgroup.com/global/artic...
I'm not unconvinced this whole interview wasn't an exercise in kissing the President's ass. First with shrugging off Trump's tariffs (~$2 billion hit for Ford in 2025) and then agreeing that Canada has sold its soul to China (which, dude? You realize that you sell cars in the nation you insulted?).
Meanwhile CEO's of Europe's automakers are going head to head against Chinese product and it's pushing them to create some truly great product.
Farley says Ford needs to compete in South America, the Middle East, and SouthEast Asia, but doesn't want to compete against Chinese cars in the US.
But, if Ford can't compete against Chinese imports in the US, how do you compete against them in LATAM, ME, and ASEAN?

The only way to durably protect hauliers - and the economy - against fossil fuel shocks is to support them to electrify trucks.
Sales of electric trucks in China outsold diesel trucks last December.
So far this year, only one electric HVG was newly registered in Ireland.

Vinrobotics makes its debut with a walking robot. It's going to take it a while to catch up with the Chinese robots, but at least they're now officially in the race.
