I made this using my Tamron 180 3.5 1:1 EF and Canon MR-14EX. The combo works well on the GFX 50R, but hand-held focus can be a pain.

My first attempt at ice cream went better than expected. Followed a French-style recipe ( www.fifteenspatulas.com/homemade-van... ) - egg custard and whipped cream. The only deviation I made was adding 2 mashed Cavendish bananas. It came out very rich, so one scoop is enough for dessert.

I've probably been spoiled with store-bought soy milk being my first experience. The cost effectiveness is hard to argue with - $3-4 for a 1 kilo bag producing maybe 15-20 litres.
This is one of the first photos I made using my Fujifilm GFX 50R when I acquired it a few years ago. I had no native glass, just an m42 adapter, so this was shot with an Asahi Pentax Super Takumar 50 1.4.

Watched the 1984 version of The Bounty today. Anthony Hopkins, Daniel Day-Lewis, Liam Neeson and pre-whack-job Mel Gibson. Bit of a mixed bag - Vangelis soundtrack on a historical drama was a bit ... interesting ... but worked once I was settled in. Enjoyed it overall. #80smovies #strayaday
I stay for Marketplace but the vibe is just circling the drain.
I liked all the characters aside from the protagonist and antagonist 😂
Don't want to drop too many spoilers but there are ... patterns ... emerging. The fast travel that isn't entirely explainable by dragons, for example 😂
I actually kind of dig some of the "dumber" less popular fantasy series such as WoT though. Kind of bummed that Shadow & Bone was cancelled.
It started feeling a bit hollowed out and rushed. Plus, not a big fan of that cliffhanger at the end!
Looking forward to seeing more. I took a photo of Saturn once using my GFX 50R with an old Pentax 300mm lens and stacked 1.5x and 2x extenders, which gave me about "900mm". it was hell to position and focus the thing! And I only ended up with a tiny blurry bit of fuzz. Could see the rings though!

Sunset over Brisbane from Highgate Hill, a couple of years ago.
I've seen some complaints about it being slow, but I didn't feel that vibe at all. I felt like more happened in this season than S1 by far.

Ours is an old housing commission home. When we first moved in I was ultra-concerned about how hot it would be in Summer, but it has performed admirably so far. We only have aircon in the main bedroom, so hoping to get some more installed soon.
Yes, we are near Ipswich, and the "feels like" temperature reached 41c (37c actual). Luckily we have reasonable insulation here, but it's absolutely roasting outside, so even with the insulation it's pretty sweat inducing.
