This year is a 2-Pixar-film year! Hoppers is just around the corner, and Toy Story 5 is shortly after that: youtube.com/watch?v=c51ND9Hdbw0 So stoked about both of these 🤩
And once the Discord servers go away, knowledge will be lost 😞 I miss the information longevity of forums and old web publishing.

@aeronautapp.com A feature request, if I may: Please add image size options. Images consume a lot of vertical real estate while scrolling, and I'd like to be able to choose a smaller size image thumbnail, and click to open it in a new media viewer window. The web page embeds look great, though!
Subscribed! This is a really nice app 😍 I’d welcome an iOS version someday, too.

Aeronaut on macOS 15 Sequoia
Excited to announce that Aeronaut is now live in the Mac App Store! 🎉
After two years of tinkering, polishing, and obsessing over the little things, it’s finally here!

National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.
Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.
Ubiquiti has such a good native iOS app, and they do a really solid job organizing a significant volume of information about network hardware, clients, settings, etc. Worth looking into if you’ve been on the fence.
Oooh, route rule layouts will be useful 😍 🤩 Thank you!
I replaced my Ring devices for the same reason, and went with a Ubiquiti setup and I’m loving it, fwiw
Even though it was terrible, I still looked forward to it each week 🫣
I would enjoy watching videos of someone competently building stuff with #Rust and talking about why they’re making the decisions they’re making as they go. Recommendations?
heard the RAM shortage is getting bad so I've been trying to stock up🤞
It’s almost like green energy is the only way forward and a handful of oil barons are doing everything in their power to keep that from happening so they can get even richer at the cost of literally everything else in the world.

LOVE the sign! 🦁
A metal plaque nestled under a tree on the Pixar campus: “Dedicated with love and gratitude to Steve Jobs. Our partner, mentor, and friend.”
“The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.”

I sat down to work on a project that uses a Raspberry Pi, powered it up, went to plug in a USB cable, and accidentally dropped the cable's metal USB connector onto the Pi's power management circuitry and shorted something — killing this brand new Pi. Real smooth. 🤦♂️
Do you have a dead retro device motherboard you want to donate to science?
I am taking requests and board donations for my board scan wiki.

I got rid of all but one or two after ditching cable, but find comfort in still owning the connector compression tool and a few connectors. I can customize the length of the cables I still have, or just pick up some bulk RG-6 by the foot at the hardware store. Hoping I won’t need any of it, though 😅
Dialup AOL is being discontinued next month. The end of an era. I met my high school sweetheart and future wife on AOL, and we maintained a long distance relationship over IMs for years. We celebrated our 17th anniversary a few days ago. You never know what technology will change your life.
I published a new video showing some lesser-known techniques for styling SF Symbols in SwiftUI, including scaling symbols relative to text, coloring them with gradients and multiple colors, and applying variants like fill or circle programmatically: youtu.be/ytUWzccgD_w

"I asked chatgpt" "I asked grok" well I asked Achenar from the best-selling point&click adventure game Myst and he told me to bring him the blue pages and NOT to touch the red ones
This week I’m taking my oldest to EAA AirVenture for the first time. The number of planes landing on Flightradar24 is staggering! Having never been before, I have no idea what to expect, but he’s very into aviation, so this seems like going to airplane Disneyland.
