Itโ€™s a nice spot, both look a bit rough right now but I should dig through my archives and share.

So true! I have a small area in my backyard that I let go, itโ€™s interesting what plants show up. Ferns showed up by my Hydrangeas and have been coexisting for years, making a nice habitat for all sorts of critters. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Oh, thanks! Looks a bit like Comfrey. Iโ€™m hoping it gets some flower buds that will help! What ever it is it grew quickly and is quite bushy, the stems arenโ€™t woody though.

Thatโ€™s great, they have been expanding their range here and nesting in surprisingly suburban areas, especially by old farmland near water ways of course. Nice to see, rarely seen 40 yrs ago.
Keep us posted on whose nest that is, Iโ€™m curious now.

Have you seen some nearby? Itโ€™s certainly large but the tree doesnโ€™t look sturdy enough to handle an eagleโ€™s nest. Maybe a hawk or owl?
