Regarding Peach’s backstory in the movie, Miyamoto thinks that too much character backstory can restrict what games they can make next, hence their reluctance to make movies for many years. But now that her backstory is fleshed out, future games will follow it closely.

I understand why people do it, but I'm noticing that I get slightly annoyed seeing the 3DS Tomodachi Life referred to as "the original". I wonder if this is what it felt like seeing people using American FF numberings or calling something like Sacred Stones "Fire Emblem 2".
