I think better context would be to compare it to how much energy it takes to make the same calculation (correctly) on a TI-82 or iPhone.

This is a really neat tool!
I think it is about 0.01 miles per Dorito, assuming a serving size of 11.5 Doritos is 150 calories and you are comparing it to a 25 mpg car. But it's 0.13 miles per Dorito if you're walking. (Please don't check my math.)
Very cool. Steve Emt went to my high school a little before me. I randomly sat next to him and chatted at MSG for the Big East tournament in the mid-2000's. Glad to see he's found a new passion!
I hope all communities where ICE is planning to build concentration camps really hear this message.
My town had a site considered for an Amazon facility and there is a lot local communities can do to keep something from being built. (The builder eventually decided it just wasn't worth it.)
I don't know if this is new or has been around, but I just learned about it and it's awesome.

Very inspiring!

In recent years, many utility commissions have focused on GHG reduction & electrification. But by focusing on these necessary goals, EE plans can create challenges for some programs and customers by changing what is incentivized. Check out my latest post to see how these decisions can play out. 🔌💡
Great thread! Well worth the read.
Very cool!
I’m still calling it NREL.
Interesting read!
Ok apparently this is actually not widely known: Gov. Shapiro withdrew Pennsylvania from RGGI today as part of a deal to pass a now-4month overdue budget.
Wow. @espn.com changed the way they show #NBA box scores and it is very disorienting after seeing the same standard format for decades. Why the change?
Good news about electric heating rates in MA. I wrote about how this can help mitigate the spark gap earlier this year. #energysky
What are the characteristics of the leakiest homes? Can we use past data to identify the homes with the greatest potential for savings from air sealing? Check out my latest post to dig into air infiltration. #energysky

Nice to see Massachusetts working on electricity rates to improve the affordability of heat pumps. Rate design can be a great way to overcome the "spark gap" barrier.
I understand the need for this trade, but I'll miss KP. He looked like was genuinely having fun playing for the Celtics.
Yikes.
Screenshot of scene from the old game Oregon Trail. There is a green graphic on a black background. The graphic is of an ox pulling a wagon and below it is says YOU HAVE LISTENED TO RFK Jr.
If there was an expansion draft, Kornet would be one of my first picks. So solid.
Really sad. I hope he makes a full recovery like KD.
Grrrrr
I don’t have the words to explain how upset this makes me.
Appliance standards and ENERGY STAR are very cost-effective ways to save energy through market transformation. However, recent federal changes put both at risk. Check out my latest post on the impact of these changes on energy savings and evaluations. #energysky
I was really excited to see only EVs in the show Paradise, and then I found out why that was the case… still neat to see, though
The price difference between natural gas and electricity can be a major barrier for electrification. Check out my latest post investigating the "spark gap" and potential solutions. #energysky hubs.li/Q03hD_bd0
Thanks. As far as I can tell, EIA only has the total cost, not broken out. But I might be missing it.
