A weird thing is that whenever I post criticism of Al, the majority of the people agreeing with me seem to be leftists. It's pretty much the only position I hold that seems to be more popular with the left than the right. It should be the opposite. My whole point about Al (especially Al in creative fields) is that it isn't human, it doesn't have a soul, and we cannot surrender our society to an unhuman soulless algorithm even if it makes our lives easier in some ways. It's very strange that an argument predicated on the existence of the soul resonates with the left while conservatives tend to scoff at it.

"for unknown reasons, my mortal enemies appear to be concerned with the core essence of humanity in a way that my allies are not. oh well, better not think about it too hard."

A lot of people don’t know that Jesus modeled his style after the Red Cross workers of the time so the confusion is actually pretty understandable.

Reporter: “If you could say something to Trump, what would it be?”

PA voter: “You're a worthless pile of shit.”

Reporter: “How many times did you vote for him?”

PA voter: “Three times. That was my bad. Apparently I'm an idiot.”

My son goes to Sheridan Hills and was so excited that he got to high five the Governor today! Thank you for taking the time.

There was contact (probably not a penalty though). The refs making calls you don’t like is why people hate Arsenal?

1 month ago 0 0 1 0

It was a handball, a foul too. Chelsea then scored on the next kick. What you want from a us to say this is a uniquely Arsenal problem and that’s ridiculous. The refs should’ve called it, they didn’t. Every team grabs in the box. Every team tries to gain every advantage. It’s not unique at all.

Corner kicks are wrestling matches. It’s not good but let’s not pretend like it’s an Arsenal thing. Man United are actually better at it than Arsenal and score off of corners more frequently.

1 month ago 0 0 0 0

Right. I responded directly to that. It’s the back up plan and you don’t like that. What is the ideal back up plan to controlling the ball while trying to score a goal from open play?

1 month ago 0 0 0 0

Set piece play suits the team who can create the most set piece opportunities which means controlling the ball in the final third which is much harder for an unskilled team. You just don’t like the skill. A low block and counter attack supports the team that is much less skillful tactically.

Wait, teams are usually angry about a corner? Arsenal fans cheer because we know we have a good chance of scoring from a corner. Teams happy about earning a free kick is common sense. Name a team whose primary goal isn’t to score, with earning another chance at a goal through free kick as a backup.

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

So he didn’t watch the TPUSA show? Huh…

It is not illegal to watch, record, follow, or track immigration officers. It *is* illegal to threaten, punish, or point a gun at them when they've done nothing illegal. If all these people were doing is observing, this is a crime. As are all the similar videos.

We can't let this become normal.

I do think that a possibly underrated dynamic in The Horrors is that the Right as it has reconstituted itself under Trump legitimately can’t understand sincere moral or physical courage

It’s must be so hard. You murder 2 people and abuse countless others and for some reason you aren’t allowed a night out on the town.

these guys are LARPing like siege commanders talking about "supply lines"

rightoids literally cannot comprehend the idea of a community caring for their own; these people live in Minneapolis their supply line is a five minute drive to the grocery store

You should see the regular-ass people in signal chats donate $20 and an hour of our time because we love our neighbors and don’t want to watch them get murdered on video. It’s the greatest affirmation of humanity we have.

The business community in Minnesota prides itself in providing leadership and solving problems to ensure a strong and vibrant state. The recent challenges facing our state have created widespread disruption and tragic loss of life. For the past several weeks, representatives of Minnesota's business community have been working every day behind the scenes with federal, state and local officials to advance real solutions. These efforts have included close communication with the Governor, the White House, the Vice President and local mayors. There are ways for us to come together to foster progress.
With yesterday's tragic news, we are calling for an immediate descalation of tensions and for state, local and federal officials to work together to find real solutions.
We have been working for generations to build a strong and vibrant state here in Minnesota and will do so in the months and years ahead with equal and even greater commitment. In this difficult moment for our community, we call for peace and focused cooperation among local, state and federal leaders to achieve a swift and durable solution that enables families, businesses, our employees, and communities across Minnesota to resume our work to build a bright and prosperous future.

The MN CEOs have now spoken out to let us know that they will not take the side of the people. They will talk out of both sides of their mouth. They won’t name the dead. They won’t mention their killers. Boycott as many as you can.

One thing Dems could do is go on TV (including Fox) and say that Trump's legacy (which is all he really cares about) will forever be tainted by what he's ordering DHS to do. No one will celebrate him and all of his tributes to himself will be burned to the ground. Let him think about that.

About Face Death and surrender to power in the clothing of men.

I will never forget the chill I felt the first time I read "About Face" by @natepowell.bsky.social

I didn't want to accept what it said about the future that is now staring us in the face

I encourage everyone to read it now that we no longer have a choice

All of this is fucking senseless. Minnesota did not have an immigration problem. Trump sent his Nazi thugs here because he's racist against Somali people and to own libs like Tim Walz. Now two Minnesotans are dead and Minneapolis is on the verge of going up in flames. None. Of. This. Was. Necessary.
