Advanced Fighting Fantasy. A worthy successor to the gamebooks, with rules that are straightforward but modular enough to make your own. An extensive support line solidifies this as one of my favourite high fantasy games.
I have converted my nephew, he has picked his first Fighting Fantasy to play.

Fighting Fantasy books are getting translated into Finnish again, including the original Warlock of Firetop Mountain which was previously translated as Velhovuoren aarre (The Treasure of Wizard Mountain). The new translation is titled Varjovuoren valtias (The Master of Shadow Mountain).
