Shuffle a pack of cards and you generate effectively a card order that in all likelihood no one has ever seen before. That is because the number of possible card orders is 52! (52 factorial)a huge number. Prepare to have your mind blown by this explanation www.facebook.com/reel/1618745...

I have a couple of plants, but the one I am most proud of is the one I grew from a seed given to me at the Wakefield Rhubarb Festival.

Same photo enhanced with AI

I feel ashamed; A photo given to us as a wedding present in a frame nearly 20 years ago has badly faded in the sunlight. I scanned it and spent nearly an hour with all the photo apps I have, using all what little skill I have. I improved it but then thought "I wonder what AI could do".Damn it's good

Increasingly it worries me that the great nation that is the USA seems unable to have a system to get rid of him or control him. The whole of the rest of the world will never view them in the same light again, even when he is no longer president.

So tired of local councillors (esp Independents) campaigning to stop much needed local development without making suggestions as to where else in the Borough it could go. You or your friends sit on Planning FFS make a case for where it should go, rather than just saying "not there!"

In theory don’t we elect MPs to represent us, the largest group choose the PM. Hence why they can switch allegiance without a by-election?

It looks not unlike the one I've just posted on insider dealing in the US

It would seem an open and shut case but apparently no one has ever been prosecuted for insider trading in the US. Is there Insider dealing linked to Trump announcements?

An infographic titled "Magnolia molecules: perfume and medicines" details the plant's chemistry. Pink petals contain cyanidin and peonidin pigments. Aroma molecules include aldehydes like 2-nonenal and heptanal, and terpenes like alpha-pinene and linalool. Medicinal bark compounds include magnolol and honokiol, which have antioxidant properties. It also highlights yulanosides, unique phenylethanoid glycosides. Chemical structures for these compounds surround a central magnolia branch photo.

Did you know magnolia petals are edible?

I didn't until this year, and discovering that they are led me to this exploration of magnolia chemistry (and experiments in making magnolia gin).

You may be shocked. I saw Tony Singh the chef use this so I saved some Haggis left over from Burn's Night but there was not quite enough so I sweated onion, garlic, added cumin, garam masala, coriander, turmeric, chili, stirred in the potato, peas and added a little left over chicken with the haggis.
