And if you're not already using a password manager, you should look into it; I use BitWarden. It lets me have unique random 16 (or more) char pwds for every account, I just have to remember the BitWarden pwd. It has extensions for browsers & apps for phones that autofill usernames & passwords.

TL:DR 16 billion records leaked in 30 files, some likely duplicates. Records include URL used to login along with username and password. Services include Google, Facebook, Apple, even corporate VPNs. Probably a good time to at least change your critical passwords, including email and banks.
Something to think about. And a note to myself to check out the studies he mentions in the video. ;-)

Unfortunate that this is needed, but would agree it's probably necessary in this day and age. And even this info I checked before sharing; the fact of it was reported from another source in a Facebook post, which of course means it needs checking. 😉
"When"? Probably shortly after they burn the bridges and realise no-one is left to help them dig themselves out of the hole they've dug.
Urgh, I just saw this after reading it on Mastodon. This is one reason I prefer Mastodon; having to break up this relatively short post into 1 post + 4 comments is... less than ideal. Of course, the other is Mastodon is decentralised, so hopefully less chance of going bad like Farcebork.
It's important to note that what's shown as true here is that someone said it, not that it actually happened, but it makes you wonder...

Anyone I know use Meta Quest? Looking for game recommendation. 😛
Oh my goodness, finally got new prescription glasses and holy cow I can see! :-P Two pairs; one for day to day, another for when I'm at the computer. The joys of being over 50. ;-)
Haven't listened to this in a while...
We need something to kill the pain of all that nothing inside
Ask not what you can do for your country
Ask what your country did to you
We owe so much money, we're not broke, we're broken
We're so poor, we can't even pay attention

Yeah, it's one of the reasons I'm digging Mastodon over BlueSky so far; 300 vs 2,000 chars. But trying both for a while. ;-)
If your Christianity causes you to be offended by someone asking the most powerful person in the country to be merciful towards the powerless, then you have profoundly misunderstood the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Four of the six riders that went on the ride, meeting at the start point
The six of us around a picnic table eating our fish and chips
The route we took from North Lakes down to the CBD and across the Story Bridge, then east out to Old Cleveland
Nice little ride last night with a few others down to Old Cleveland Lighthouse for some fish and chips. 🙂

A view of Brisbane city at night from Mount Coot-tha Lookout with a full moon in the night sky
Took a learner up to Mt Coot-tha tonight; turned into a beautiful night for a ride. I usually get a chai while I'm up there, but tonight the lure of Rocky Road got me. ;-) Hope some of you got to enjoy the (mostly?) full moon tonight.

"But according to Danish news outlet DR News, sources revealed that the individuals wearing new MAGA hats during the visit were homeless and socially disadvantaged people who had been offered dinners at Hotel Hans Egede in exchange for their participation"
5 motorcycles and an old Lotus parked in front of Mount Glorious Cafe
Early morning run up to Mt Glorious Cafe. Seems most people were put off by the wet weather. :-P Maybe another 5 or 10 bikes turned up while I was there.
Some of the reasons I'm giving the alternatives another try now.

Hopefully the "reply" on BlueSky works better than Mastodon; I also dislike the fact that it posts a whole new thing on MY profile, rather than under the post on YOUR profile. Makes it harder to follow replies, I think, but maybe I just need more experience with it.
