There are a lot of non-cyber folks speculating wildly about how and why and what it all means, all understandable questions. Before searching for deep and hidden meaning, I would urge you to consider the ancient strategy of throwing shit at a wall and seeing what sticks

I'll be in the market for a blocklist of attendees if it goes forward, and a follow list of those who decline.

The discourse today has largely missed why Mamdani is a generational talent. He’s authentic but message-disciplined, sharing his vision for the future before delivering it with public excellence.

It’s not just his leftism, it’s his radical optimism + results that raises the ceiling of possibility.

There are 25+ million uninsured Americans RIGHT NOW. Republicans’ answer is to cut 300,000 MORE from coverage to fund bombs over Iran.
No debate.
No vote.
Just cuts.
This must be stopped.

Billionaires get paid in stock worth billions.

They use that stock as collateral to borrow billions.

They use those borrowed billions to buy everything, including media outlets which then pump bullshit like this to keep you in the dark about the tax loopholes designed just for them.

Turned on NBC. They talked about “President tipping a DoorDash driver $100”.

This woman participated in GOP ads before playing other roles. There is no DoorDash deliveries to the Oval Office. Please exercise proper judgement when consuming news.

This pattern holds a crucial lesson for America’s current moment. As democratic norms erode and elections become increasingly tilted, anti-corruption movements offer what partisan politics cannot: the moral authority to unite society against a rigged system. When traditional opposition fails, these movements succeed because they transcend party lines, mobilizing citizens around a cause larger than any candidate: the fundamental fairness of the system itself.
Research shows that in polarized societies, the most effective opposition doesn’t fight on the traditional left-right battlefield where positions are entrenched. Instead, it creates an entirely new axis of conflict.1 Framing the stakes as clean versus corrupt shifts debate from rigid ideological divisions to a universally resonant moral question: are you on the side of the people or a corrupt elite?

Truth is, Orbán is just the latest in long list of authoritarians to be defeated by anti-corruption politics.

A Democratic landslide is possible if they can credibly take up the anti-corruption mantle. But that can’t happen if voters see them as corrupt and beholden to wealthy donors.

Matt Walsh @MattWalshBlog

A weird thing is that whenever I post criticism of Al, the majority of the people agreeing with me seem to be leftists. It's pretty much the only position I hold that seems to be more popular with the left than the right. It should be the opposite. My whole point about Al (especially Al in creative fields) is that it isn't human, it doesn't have a soul, and we cannot surrender our society to an unhuman soulless algorithm even if it makes our lives easier in some ways. It's very strange that an argument predicated on the existence of the soul resonates with the left while conservatives tend to scoff at it.

NASA was praised by Trump after the wonderful success of the Artemis II moon orbit mission

Yet Trump's proposed 2027 budget cuts NASA's funding -- by 23%

Including cutting 47% of the science budget -- and 50 missions

How is this making America great again?

The amazing, letter-perfect performance of NASA this week is a ferocious rebuke to the right-wing fools who constantly tell us that for-profit businesses always do a job better than the government.

Melania Throws Donald Under the Bus And just like that, the Epstein files are back in the news.

"Isn’t Melania signaling others in the Trump administration and in Congress that it’s time to abandon ship, that it’s time to remove him from office? It should not have taken Melania Trump to spur this action. But one welcomes any helping hand in our current drama."
