it’s a great day for transphobes to eat shit

I should do a giveaway here too!
I'll randomly select someone who retweets this to receive a signed copy of Daughter of Crows 🙂
Nothing needs to change about jobs.
Lots of things need to change about men.
Bruh, when I get me a room with a female ortho surgeon, resident, APP, nurse, scrub, and CRNA then I will know the day will be smooth.

AOC: “This is a threat of genocide & merits removal from office. The President’s mental faculties are collapsing & cannot be trusted.
To every individual in the President’s chain of command: You have a duty to refuse illegal orders. That includes carrying out this threat”
This opening paragraph. The indignity of it all.
Episode: Surgeons watching anything medical
I think you lot should be filing impeachment articles whether you can carry the motion or not. Sometimes it is literally about principle
The field of hernia surgery is increasingly complex, doesn’t get a lot of respect and is critically understudied and under-reimbursed. Massive impacts on patient quality of life.
The other conceivable scenario would be pericardial tamponade, where bleeding into the sac (pericardium) around the heart compresses the heart and causes a similar cardiovascular collapse
The needle is only a temporizing measure until a formal chest tube can be placed
I don’t know where the story comes from, but needle decompression would be needed for tension pneumothorax, which can be life threatening. In a tension PTX a collapsed lung shifts the heart and kinks the vessels, reducing blood return to the heart and causing cardiovascular collapse.
Nae king! Nae quin! Nae laird! Nae master! We willna' be fooled again!
Especially interesting in light of the rapid integration of AI in healthcare. I’ve already seen patients come in with incorrect and overly confident self-diagnoses they got from feeding their own data into LLMs, confirming biases
Love our crosstrek. Safe, comfortable, reasonably efficient (would probably get the hybrid now), drives well, very reliable. Great AWD. If you want to go bigger, we also have an Outback which is slightly nicer and has bigger capacity for hauling lumber/skis/etc.
Oof, hernia surgery has an image problem! From Courtney Collins at #SAGES2026
Happy St. Patrick's Day, New York.
One of those things might be easier to attain than the other, but 100% in agreement
No
I don't normally care who reads my stuff but I really hope the CEO of Target dude sees this because it's true. You fucked up. You're only sorry because it cost you money. when you shit on DEI you're alienating way more people than the turds who yell at you about being "woke" and that's facts

Listened to the whole album this weekend. Gorillas has long been one of my favorite bands, this may be one of their best albums, start to finish. Rewards listening straight through. This short animation is really good.
Favorite book series of the last several years. Audiobook is next level
Could have been published in 1990 or any number of other times. Long history of failed American intervention in the Middle East.

This statement goes hard. Love it.
Having been faculty for several ADOPT courses, I can confirm they are the single best model for expansion of practice for surgeons. Fantastic work from @sages.org
As a professor of surgery (with a liberal arts education) I think courses in English, Philosophy, and Ethics are _more_ valuable to my medical students and residents than physics or organic chemistry. I work harder on their writing and critical thinking skills than I do on the science.
