Obviously Path of Exile, the thing I am most interested in in this life (philome.la/hoverpope/th..., hoverpope.itch.io/wraeclasts-e...)

Has any player's good reputation ever been so rapidly damaged without a domestic abuse charge

This is why utena is perfect: great depth accompanied by cartoonish melodrama

This is exactly as disqualifying as if he had said that the Bible insists we should kill adulterers; maybe worse as the government is working to put this vision into practice. Schumer is working to fulfill the dreams of Baruch Goldstein and Yigal Amir.

Kissy Boy is the finest sword ever made... the air sings as Kissy Boy cuts its way through it, so finely honed is its edge. i have to hold it in a special grip to prevent people from seeing "Kissy Boy" engraved on the crossguard though

I've said before, shallow banquet is one of the most important pieces of media in my life and was crucial in helping me finally start to transition. I came out two weeks after it released. Before, I was speaking almost verbatim about disassociation from the flesh; now I have a human soul

Baseball is always a game of luck which comes and goes. If any team is on a streak like the blue jays which seems to defy luck where every possible thing that could go against you does, remember: an unweighted die eventually falls fair, so this streak proves god is real and personally spiting me

Neptune's Brood *kind of* is like this

Is it a good sign that I'm listening to Relentless Picnic episode Shallow Banquet once again? No.
Does it remind me of exactly what I used to be and how far I've come and how even at my grimmest I have grown? Yes!
Do I think people should consider estrogen, no reason, not pointing fingers? 1000%

‘I feel like I’m losing her’: the families torn apart by older relatives going far right It starts with a ‘back in my day’ nostalgic meme – then suddenly your elders are sharing AI-generated ‘boomerslop’ and repeating conspiracy theories …

Wilford identifies “nostalgia porn” as a common first step on a radicalisation pathway. Good old-fashioned “back in my day” content is now getting the AI treatment.

Yeah like. The whole point of an anvil is that it soaks up heat from glowing metal without getting much warmer; huge thermal mass. Best I can think of is someone using an OA torch right on the anvil

It's the corner of the anvil that I use at the forge but someone has heated it enough to get to a black temper. I have no idea how they were careless enough to somehow heat an anvil that much, but that corner is now permanently softer. It is very difficult to misuse an anvil so severely by accident

This isn't even a question of whether AI is good or worthwhile. It is just a question of what visions of the future our society is capable of imagining. The only ones possible are those of wealth concentration, surveillance, and atomization.

I think the ultimate sickness at the core of our society is that we must haggle for every fucking dollar to avert hunger or house people or keep the world livable, but we will commit all the money in the world to push for something that only makes sense as a manager's dream of full unemployment

Even if you are a booster and like AI, if you like getting a bit of code without checking stack exchange. Is it actually more productive than all transportation combined. Is it worth more than eliminating hunger. Is it more valuable than a significant chunk of the cost of averting climate change.

It's funny that Daniel Vavra always finds himself in a place where he has made absolutely everyone angry by reading the room badly and insisting only he can read it correctly.
Unrelated, the kotaku article spends half it's time making 2002 style gay jokes about him, which. well,

Hey Canadians, this is a huge issue. This mine will pump out millions of gallons of sulphuric acid that will flow into Quetico Park, Rainy River, right up to Lake Winnipeg. It's 40km from the border. It could be Sudbury all over again for Canadian lakes. And our governments are doing nothing. read:
