We at RGG strive to make games that foster curiosity, encourage exploration, and are just darn fun to play — and to do so ethically.
As such, we do not and will not use any generative AI in the creation and design of any our games.
Fun is necessary for people, and so it must be driven by people.
Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

Ask literally any voice actor if they get royalties from the video games they worked on.
They will tell you no. They might even laugh.
Now imagine any developer actively trying to use AI VO to save money wanting to offer something like that.
This affects you - the audience - more than you think.
Because there are no residual payments on videogames, many actors rely on convention appearances as a replacement income.
Because cons = $, cons have begun expecting talent to make it through YOU (no appearance fee).

Flashback to years back - GwenFox is standing at an open sliding door, with her grandma in the foreground folding napkins. Text: When visiting my Bà Nội (paternal grandma), she used to greet me with a 'sniff kiss'.
