I got frostbite from the ice pellets here in Victoria earlier

My partner and I with the Salish sea in the background
A lone tree stands on a promontory looking out onto a gray yet beautiful scene of the sea and clouds
A sheltered pebble Beach down by the ocean with trees hanging over the beach
Someone has placed rock balanced inukshuk type stones on a rock looking out onto the ocean
Creyke Point Trail today. Fairly easy to hike, with beautiful views out onto the Salish Sea
Yep. The ability to borrow from libraries was a gamechanger for me!
I've had a Kobo for 7 years now. I love it. ๐จ๐ฆ
Well that's a blast from the past. I grew up in the northwest of England and i used to watch this show with my dad, he loved the humour so much and i ended up enjoying it too, plus wholesome time spent with said dad was so much fun! Thank you for this reminder of times past.
Moose is one lucky pupper
Dawg!
Not getting as much rain as I thought we would with this atmospheric river, here in #YYJ - why, it's even nice enough to go for a ride. Does anybody else wanna go for a ride? Anyone? Go for a ride..?
For sure ๐
This is so true, I choose to walk over driving so I get a feel for different neighborhoods. I've walked an hour and a half to destinations because I don't want to drive quickly through the city; I want to savour whatever I see during the journey. It gives me time to appreciate where I live.
I once heard either @penalosag.bsky.social or @jeffspeck.bsky.social talk about this once. Maybe both of them. Delightfulness of walking is an essential part of encouraging walking trips
A pint of hazy IPA in front of me on the bar, alongside my Kobo eReader, as I settle down for a relaxing evening at my local.
A post-St-Paddy's-Day pint and a read at my local pub after a busy day, while a live Irish band plays music in the background. Colour and Shape by Superflux, Look to Windward by Iain M. Banks ๐ป ๐ #yyj #IainMBanks #theCulture
I agree, that's a great IPA and it packs a punch, at least for my old bones
Lol also me at Bulk Barn!
I just wrote an @theactionnetwork.bsky.social letter: Show your support for Pandora East Bike Lanes! actionnetwork.org/letters/show...
I wasn't aware of her other books. I read the King Arthur series when I was a teenager, then again as a young adult. I just cherished them for what they were; a standalone set I really enjoyed without thinking there would be other gems out there (the folly of youth!). But now I know, so thank you!
^^This for sure. The Mary Stewart books are the best, imo
Is that a Fluffy Cloud? No, it can't be, it's a blue sky ๐
Still a bold move ๐

A golden sunset on Vancouver Island with a lonely tree in the foreground and the sunset's warm light reflecting on the Salish Sea.
Nice. I took a photo of a sunset here in BC a couple of months ago and I'm amazed at the symmetry between the two! #sunset #victoriaBC
I saw them earlier this evening. Sunlit from below, against an indigo sky. Very nice
Agreed. I was raised Catholic and only ever had a smidgen of a mark on Ash Wednesdays. This is just bad actor, dog whistle performance on display
Le sigh $$$
A mini Gimli but where's the axe
Oh yeah, I mean they're beautiful to look at but man can they make a racket!
A peacock with a long colorful tail perches on a sequoia tree branch in Beacon Hill park. Another male peacock to the left and on the ground is looking up at the tree. In the foreground and to the left, a peahen appears on the scene and is looking up at the peacock on the branch.
They must get paid to pose...

Nice! The top half looks like a painting
Like alien megaflora on a rocky landscape...
Holy crap, good job! We're in the middle of a washroom renovation right now and saving a ton of dosh by doing it ourselves!
