i don’t normally endorse block lists (i’m on some, weirdly lumped in with people i myself have blocked) but i don’t see how blocking all these accts with one button is bad.

most importantly, DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THEM. they already own X so they wouldn’t be here if they weren’t trying to start shit.

Figured it's always a good game when we're under 10% of the players. #VultureOchiGrid

We tried out the new productivity app Touch Grass, which just came out for iOS. It blocks apps of your choosing and only unblocks them after you take a picture of your hand literally touching grass.

Well I didn't do my usual Oscar prep this year but still a fun show. The best was the Flow people's absolute joy at winning ( a movie I did see and loved).

Why were there not more people up & dancing? That performance was so joyful. #oscars

David Lynch, who brought surrealism into the cineplex, dies at 78 The renowned director mixed melodrama and horror in movies such as “Blue Velvet” and “Mulholland Drive.” He helped trigger a TV revolution with “Twin Peaks.”

"Like a magician declining to explain his tricks, Mr. Lynch refused to discuss the meaning of his films. “I like things that leave some room to dream,” he told the New York Times in 1995. “A lot of mysteries are sewn up at the end, and that kills the dream.”

I Don’t Care That You Never Liked That Abusive Celebrity Oh, you never liked that one guy? Aren't you super clever?

This terrific (and unfortunately necessary) article written by @ceilidhann.bsky.social for Pajiba is for everyone who feels the need to express their moral superiority on and off the Internet when it comes to abusive celebrities like Diddy, Neil Gaiman, etc.

I'll still continue to take the train because I still prefer it to driving to my mom's, but I don't think I'll take this particular line again. At least on Cascade I can sit by myself.

Train ride from hell. Got to the Eugene station at 1pm, got into PDX at 8:30. Mechanical problems, mandatory crew change over, the works. And I was next to a very nice little old gentleman who I felt bad dislodging if I wanted to get up.

If Die Hard is a Christmas movie then Best Little Whorehouse In Texas is as well.

(I watch it with my mom every year. "Hard Candy Christmas" is my favorite Christmas song)

One thing RG can really do is find deep musical cuts to make me flashback to my childhood, where I only listened (and loved) to my parents' C&W songs. However Nelson is from my teenage years so I can't blame my parents for that. I really am that cool.

Thanks to last night's Righteous Gemstones, I've had "Daytime Friends and Nighttime Lovers" stuck in my head, a song I forgot existed until this season. Also thanks to RG, I made the embarrassing realization I still know all the words to "After The Rain" Yes, the one by Nelson.

If Bluesky seems dead or low activity on your end it might be that you haven't yet made the most of its design. It's different from Twitter in some key ways so you have to interact differently. I'm writing these tips below from my non-techy perspective, techies please weigh in if I get things wrong:
