#wip - I'm always trying to make myself draw something different when it comes to my OCs, but oftentimes I settle on the poses and compositions that I usually do.

I haven't anything new for Portfolio Day, just a growing pile of sketches and one last commission WIP; I'll still repost the ones I see this time around, though.
A group of knights on their horses galloping toward the viewer at dusk
My main character injured and very angry, facing some kind of undead creature
Standing in the middle of the street, Elhyana is holding a wanted poster she just ripped from the town board, she looks pissed at the rendition of her face
In a crowded market in a little town, Arthur is looking at a merchant's product, oblivious to what Elhyana is doing walking past him and stealing one of his map in a very slick way

Digital illustration depicting a scene from a classroom of magic users. One student at the centre attempts to control the unwieldy water based magic that rises up out of a book. She has an expression of shock as the magic backfires on her. Behind her is another student and a teacher who gazes on in disappointment.
An illustration depicting a side-on view of the ocean. On top of the water sits a small sailing boat with a figure fishing off to one side. Beneath the waves, a giant shark emerges from the depths to capture the boat.
An illustration depicting a tiefling standing in amongst a crowd, wearing regal clothing. He is glancing back over his shoulder with a smirk as he throws petals back towards his followers who gaze up towards him with adoration.
A young man runs through a maze, viewed from the side and on a downward angle. Beneath him are four Grecian style pillars. He wears a toga and an odd vambrace on one arm.

On the Left: fullbody portrait of a elf woman in a layered red outfit with various satchels containing instruments like brushes and scalpels, and holding various scrolls. She stands proudly in a dusty, sandy environment, a cheeky smile on her face. On the Right: painting of two feminine figures, Fley (a green skinned tiefling with long dark hair, wearing a tight black dress) and Darania (a pale half-elf, blonde hair pulled up in a crown braid, wearing a white robe with red spider lily embroidery). Darania stands behind Fley, clutching the other's face in her hands, red polished nails pressing in her skin, and looks at the viewer with a predatory smirk. Fley stares ahead with wide eyes.
illustration, painted in warm grays and reds, of Sheireen (OC - a drow woman of undefined age, with rot exposing the flesh of the left side of her face and hand) wrapped in a dark shawl blown by the wind. In the background, a barren land with a tower crumbling in the air against the backdrop of a red moon.
Illustration of Fley [OC], a tiefling with light green skin, long black hair and golden eyes. They wear a robe with flowing white sleeves. They're staring ahead at the viewer with a determined expression and snarling a spell out, their hand outstretched in a command. Green and pink magic swirls around them in a wave reminiscent of water and northern lights.
On the Left: a digital painting, featuring two mermaids deep underwater. One of them has a snake-like tail, long hair floating behind her, the other has octopus tentacles that frame the picture. The octopus mermaid is adorned in golden jewels, and debris from ships rest in the background. The two are embracing lovingly, admiring a glowing pendant the snake siren brough to her companion as a gift. The jewel emits bright golden light that illuminates the two.

“Stasis” is a portrait painted by the artist Zara Alfonso, and is the first piece in her series about invisible illness. A portrait painting of a girl with skin so pale she’s almost translucent, her lips are tinged blue and she gazes upward through seemingly unseeing eyes. Pale moths and winged insects cover the expanse of her face and body, blending into her skin in places.
“Medusa Portrait” is a portrait painted by the artist Zara Alfonso. A portrait of a young Medusa who looks peacefully towards the viewer, her hair is flowing mass of thick iridescent dark indigo snakes tied up in a head wrap.
"Winternight Stories” is an oil painting by the artist Zara Alfonso, done for the Magic: The Gathering Tarkir: Dragonstorm. An orc stands in the middle of a small crowd, telling a story of the battle against dragons with a swirl of watery blue magic.
Zara Alfonso's oil painting of the official card illustration for “Dualcaster Mage” for Magic: The Gathering Secrets of Strixhaven Special Guests.

Digitally colored traditional sketch of manga/anime protagonist Conan Edogawa/Shinichi Kudo, waking up after having been shrunken by an experimental drug, his clothes too big for him, blood running on his face, from a blunt instrument. He sits on the grass while three light sources converge on him, 2024, art by Guillaume Babey after Gosho Aoyama

Pen drawing of the head and shoulders of a bearded male humanoid with a bone or stone looking appearance whose head is stylized like that of a spiral seashell. Around them is sand that has enveloped the lower part of their body providing a sense of the massive size of the being along with span of time that the world has moved on and consumed them. Stone ruins dot the landscape along with a large nomadic tent and some dead trees. In the sky are jellyfish like structures kilometers across hanging in the sky, the bigger one to the left of the face. Large asteroids hang in the sky indicating that there was a ri.ng around the planet.
Pen drawing of a feminine figure laying on their back in profile to the viewer, their body is made up of various high tech parts and metal plates in a cyberpunk look with many fine pieces building up the whole of the body with their face easily visible and their right arm appears to be in a state of disassembly as it reaches upwards to the sky. Around this bio-mechanical form are large nautaloid like constructs, the nearest interacting with the form with its lenses locked on their face. Others float in the distance where large metallic towers rise against a pale sky.
Pen drawing of a hunched over humanoid figure with a long, angular face with a thick neck with bone white lumpy skin with black antler like growths emerging out of its back with purple gems and armor pieces over their back and chest before transitioning to belts and red robe decorated with some blue gems in silver settings. Their left arm is holding a silver helix-shaped staff while their right hand ends in a black metal steel cap etched with sigils. There is a pyramid filled with blue and purple energy, and a large book hanging from the belt on the right side while a smaller being in a reddish robe carrying a book about the third of its height. They are walking past an opening deeper into the stone-walled keep where a large fireplace with some of the smaller beings scurrying around in that far room, while approaching a lab area. It is approaching bookshelf stacked with books and jars while walking past a foreground table made up of a series of twisted faces with various candles, incense, books and a large jar with a small body in it and heading towards a cauldron over a fire.
Pen drawing of a more science-fiction looking elf sitting cross-legged with a sword hovering above their lap while a pinkish-purple ball of energy with an eyeball in the center hovers above their up-turned left hand. She sits with banners behind her back and behind her shoulders in purple and blue with alien symbols written on them while around her are various portal like structures and two vaguely humanoid statues with multiple blue gems in place of faces. The bodies of the statues are bio-mechanical looking growths that twist and writhe to make a human-like figure. In the distance, in the blue and green mist and sky, various towers of organic looking design rise up, half realized through the haze.
Congrats on 1.7k! 😎🍷

No problem! There's 12 animals and 5 elements so there's a lot of cool variations that turn up; just happens that this year's fits my feelings for the year hahaha
Thank you for the kind words!
The horse piece was actually just a commemorative piece for this year's Lunar New Year, since it's the year of the Fire Horse and I've been recently feeling like a horse that's on fire, hahaha (Although I may have used a nightmare as a reference for the piece)
❤️
Heyo Meggles, thank you for the artshare!
Having not done any new art ever since I started my new job, winding down and having a rest sounds like a good idea, actually.
