FYI if you use pnpm and upgraded from Vite 7 -> 8, you might still have esbuild installed but unused. You can purge it out by:

1. Set `autoInstallPeers: false` in `pnpm-workspace.yaml`
2. `pnpm i`
3. Undo no1
4. `pnpm i`

They’re incentivized by the backlink on your homepage. It’s probably easier to make a rule and prevent these funds from showing up than rejecting it entirely.

For me “managing well” means that funds are getting raised and disbursed at a close rate, and they don’t often stagnate, so I do agree with you that constant payouts are good. “Burning” is that some seem to not have much runway left, which I think is somewhat important for larger orgs

Yeah currently the relation is sourced from OC’s team settings, it’s a bit tricky to fix that 🤔

Yeah it’s a bit tricky to paint the full picture here with only data from OC. Funds from GH sponsors are also lumped in one group. There’s potential for gathering the stats from multiple sources for sure.

The graph above is from octrends.bjornlu.com/babel-vs-web.... It's a really hefty dataset and I didn't really optimize the processing much, so bear the slow page load and the potential screen freeze 😬 Here's some more of its stats

Made a site to compare projects on Open Collective. Some are managing funds really well while others are burning through quite a bit. octrends.bjornlu.com

For fun. It’s interesting to see how small some can get and yet have a larger feature set

SEA keeps tripping me up, I thought it’s some sort of South East Asia branch of Node.js. Glad you’re naming it --exe

Strange but that’s how it works for me with VS Code too.

Just as I was about to go on vacation too, npmx knows me well

There are a couple projects I think, except npmx which I heard is coincidental. But I don’t really want to claim any credit 😅 it’s nice to see a lot happening since I shared my piece.
