Pace yourself. Then, at times, overdo it. Then rewind and do it again in slow motion. Just as shocking your biological systems gives the best results for physical health, creative work and social interaction need to be shaken up as well to keep your spirit vibrant and alive. - III
Statement from Michael and Susan Pretti Parents of Alex Jeffrey Pretti โWe are heartbroken but also very angry. Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately, he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the โheroโ term lightly. However, his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trumpโs murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He had his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down, all while being pepper sprayed. Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you.

You are awesome and shine brighter every day in a world full of crapware.

I increasingly believe that AI will do to software engineering what smartphones did to filmmaking:
Best-in-class software is created not too different than beforehand.
How did smartphones impact the making of Dune or Top Gun 2? They didnโt much. Amazing people, vision, execution made them
Star Wars Intro Scroll Episode IV It Was All So Stupid Seriously, you would not believe how stupid it was. Every day, unrelentingly, just the dumbest stuff by the absolute worst people. And what made it worse was knowing that weโd brought this on ourselves.
@flaviuspopan.com yo! lol, Parse.ly to Elixir? right on
Time zone code is 100% the kinda code you make someone else do, like a library
I feel like that is more off limits to home roll than crypto even
The interplay between #erlang and #elixir communities is so wholesome. The wisdom in the former. The fresh perspectives in the latter.
Hats off to all involved, particularly @josevalim.bsky.social, for setting the community culture on such a path. ๐

The US voted *with* Russia against the UN resolution condemning the invasion of Ukraine and demanding a withdrawal.
Utter betrayal of country, allies, and principles.
Inner<Something> component is a smell.
Your "utils" files are likely most of your app's functional core.
Invert the relationship!
This is exciting for my #ElixirLang peeps github.com/elixir-lang/...
