The 12" version he is holding is a different and better version :)
There's a good interview with JP on Kreative Kontrol podcast this week. I already have his half-assed signature three times, I think.
Great soundtrack! Never seen the film though :)
Cardiff Record Exchange (about 15 minute walk from town) is one of the best second hand shops in the UK.
Usual podcast places but I use Podbean.
Recommend the Full Disclosure interview he did with James O'Brien. Worth an hour of anyone's time.
Yeah, similar to that too. :)
Werewolves of London :)
Not disagreeing but I remember being surprised that the average music buyer would only buy 3-4 CDs a year in that era so £50 man and similar were doing a lot of heavy lifting.
Dexys and Del Amitri spring to mind.
Deep cuts!
Luna covered this too.
The drummer's still got a hat on TBF ;)
I always passed over his Mistrial LP but after taking a chance on it it's become one of my favourite Lou Reed LPs. I Remember You is one of his best.
Our New Skin is a cracker.
I once got my head bitten off for suggesting it was in some ways it was just a slightly disappointing follow up to Loaded.
I heard Will Sargent say recently that Mac hates it!
Would recommend it.
Do you know the Weekend LP? Same era/producer?
Maybe an "Our Tune" compilation will be next. From what I remember those stories were all super grim.
You might enjoy "did we hear the same song" by The Van Pelt, it pays tribute to Marquee Moon in the lyrics and the music.
A bit besides the point but check out The Sweet Things You've Got it Going On on you tube. The best early VU rip off I have ever heard!
My Buddy Valentine, Buffalo Tim, The Smirths, Primal Dream, Quarter Japanese, Mid Black, Scenic Youth.
The Sound of Confusion.
Just read that Scat are reissuing the EP in February. Good timing!
Whitney K's Bubble (my favourite 2025 LP) is going cheap in the Rough Trade sale. RIYL Silver Jews, Lou Reed, Bonny Doon.
Phillipe Auclair shared a This is Pop starter pack
B.S Johnson is THE track off that album ;)
