"We lost 13 men"
At least three of these fatalities were women:
♦️Capt. Ariana Savino
♦️Technical Sergeant Ashley Pruitt
♦️Sergeant First Class Nicole Amor
I found this out with about 30 seconds of Googling.
The Commander-in-Chief still doesn't know.
"I would have won Vietnam very quickly," Trump just said.
He's out of his mind. We need to get rid of him before he kills us all.
Journalists planning to honor Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner have a choice:
A. Party with the dictator, wear fancy clothes and network to boost their careers.
B. Stand up for democracy by staying home.
They’re going to choose A. It looks terrible now. It will look worse to history.
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump I have always been a big fan of Tim Cook, and likewise, Steve Jobs, but if Steve was not taken from the Planet Earth so young, and ran the company instead of Tim, the company would have done well, but nowhere near as well as it has under Tim. For me it began with a phone call from Tim at the beginning of my First Term. He had a fairly large problem that only I, as President, could fix. Most people would have paid millions of dollars to a consultant, who I probably would not have known, but who would say that he knew me well. The fees would be paid but the job would not have gotten done. When I got the call I said, wow, it’s Tim Apple (Cook!) calling, how big is that? I was very impressed with myself to have the head of Apple calling to “kiss my ass.” Anyway, he explained his problem, a tough one it was, I felt he was right and got it taken care of, quickly and effectively. That was the beginning of a long and very nice relationship. During my five years as President, Tim would call me, but never too much, and I would help him where I could. Years latter, after 3 or 4 BIG HELPS, I started to say to people, anyone who would listen, that this guy is an amazing manager and leader. He makes these calls to me, I help him out (but not always, because he will, on occasion, be too aggressive in his ask!), and he gets the job done, QUICKLY, without a dime being given to those very expensive (millions of dollars!) consultants around town who sometimes get it done, and sometimes don’t. Anyway, Tim Cook had an AMAZING career, almost incomparable, and will go on and continue to do great work for Apple, and whatever else he chooses to work on. Quite simply, Tim Cook is an incredible guy!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP 2.16k ReTruths 12.4k Likes Apr 21, 2026, 5:42 AM
Here's Trump encouraging business execs to "kiss my ass" in order to get special favors from his government. He doesn't even bother trying to hide the rampant corruption.
The correspondents‘ dinner attendees care about the career boost and the chance to wear fancy clothes more than they care about the freedom of their family and friends. That‘s the obvious explanation I see.
Confronted with an authoritarian president, the media can no longer claim cluelessness. The threat is obvious. Journalists can be cowardly, complicit or courageous. Unfortunately, the dinner hosts of the White House Correspondents’ Association are all out of courage.
FCC chair Brendan Carr, who has threatened to revoke the licenses of broadcast outlets whose Iran war coverage displeases him, plans to attend the White House Correspondents’ Dinner as a guest this Saturday.
The suck-up media will never learn: When you invite fascists to dinner, they devour you.
I will be on @maddow.bsky.social’s show tonight to talk about InfoWars. Unlike the site’s current proprietor, I am not presently shirtless.
The Trump regime is a magnet for creepiness and corruption.
Interesting @markjacob.bsky.social point here: Why not more stand-alone stories with heds like "Trump Is Dismantling Democracy"?
"Such a headline would be easy to support with facts that the NYT and other major media report in isolation every day. They’re simply afraid to hit the total button."
Journalists might've once had the excuse that the didn’t realize how bad MAGA extremism would be. But they can't plead cluelessness now. What’s left are cowardice, complicity and courage. Pick one.

Dan Rather and other news vets urge organizers of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner “to forcefully demonstrate opposition to President Trump’s efforts to trample freedom of the press” even while they host him as guest of honor.
That’s ridiculous. Cancel the damn dinner, as I wrote last week.
This is an embarrassing but not shocking indictment of legacy news media in the U.S.
As I wrote: “Those pocket squares will certainly show the fascists. What a crushing blow against the empire.“
People are urging participants in the White House Correspondents’ Dinner to wear pro-1st Amendment pocket squares or take a bathroom break when “guest of honor” Trump speaks.
I have a better idea: Cancel the damn dinner.
I avoid linking to X because it’s a white supremacist-run platform. This GOP tweet was posted this morning. If you’re skeptical, look it up.
Pete Hegseth retweets an official GOP tweet that says: “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.’ John 11:25 NKIV”
Is the Republican Party officially declaring itself to be a Christian party? Is belief in Jesus’ resurrection in the platform now? This is not a “big tent” — this is theocracy.
She’ll be getting back in soon — you watch.
Kash Patel might file a lawsuit just for show, but he’ll never stick with it. Discovery would be devastating.
Elise Stefanik keeps reminding us that MAGA’s political class is not composed of deluded true believers but instead is run by dead-souled monsters who would kill you for a quarter. Stefanik knows she’s conning the American people. In fact, she’s proud of it.
The Trump regime’s primary export is horseshit.
