The back of a PC case, the hole for the ATX power supply is empty, there is a flexATX power supply stuck to the back of the case with magnets
Here is some real professional work, that power supply is held on by hard drive magnets. I do have a real power supply on the way, fortunately.
A computer in a PC case
Been moving one of my servers into a different case, it still works after too
I get that most of the time, though it is mainly noticeable against plain backgrounds, not had much luck talking to doctors about it though. Thought it was normal and just how eyes worked
Thought I should finally set my profile image, I usually use my praying mantis image, but its been over a decade, time for a change. This is Merlin, he is a Senegal parrot, and he is a good boy
An Apple PCIe from an old MacBook Pro in an adaptor to use it in a PCIe slot
Reusing an old Apple SSD, 512 GB over two lanes of PCIe gen 2

Bought a 512GB Samsung OEM SSD from AliExpress, installed it in a Broadwell Xeon system, fwupdmgr notified me that I have a Dell firmware upgrade for the SSD available from LVFS. Installed it, works perfectly still.
PCI Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi card, from AliExpress
lspci output of the card in a linux system
Bought a thing I probably don't need for reasons that are still unclear to me, but it does appear to work

Hollow knight Silksong playing on a laptop, there is a PS4 controller on the laptop
Might be trying playing Silksong on my laptop on the train, I am new to this genre of games and I hear it is brutally hard, should be interesting
I dislike that I know exactly what that means
I hope so, my grandfather turned to alcohol, my father turned to conspiracy theories, I wonder what new shit is going to be around at that point to get me.
Am only 10 years out from that point, and I wonder if I will end up a worthless shithead like my father, and his father before him.
Something I think I see a lot in what I assume is AI generated twatwaffle is constructions like "it's not (just) _____, it's ______". Not sure if it's actually meaningful or if I am seeing a pattern that doesn't exist because I am already biased against the AI generated crap.
A 120mm CPU cooler fan attached to a Mikrotik 10Gbe network switch
Had to rig up a fan for my network switch

Not quite, the manufacturer would need to contribute a fully open source driver that is written well enough to be accepted into the Linux kernel, and allow redistribution of any firmware the hardware needs.
Proprietary drivers on Linux are a miserable experience and are seldom worth the effort
Rebooting (sometimes several times) to apply updates is fucking obnoxious. I want to actually use my computer, not watch it update itself.
His head does look a bit hard boiled
Made myself a WiFi to Ethernet bridge using OpenWrt and EoIP talking to a RouterOS device, seems to function at the very least.
Looking through the other drinking games now, was expecting to find Scrumpy hands. Now finding that its apparently a NZ only thing.
She is the one who was caught reading fanfiction erotica about schoolchildren on a train, isn't she?
Top half for things like discord, or work email and teams, bottom half for a music player something I can listen to from youtube.

Have generated a new minecraft world using Terralith and Tectonic.
Was going to use one of my home servers to render a 40000 by 40000 block Minecraft map using Minecraft Overviewer, was going to take 36 hours, and made the server use 280 watts with a processor temp of 78 deg C. Think I won't be letting that complete.
