Join us at the heart of big fashion, Oxford Street, to commemorate Rana Plaza and say: no more backsliding on worker safety.

13 years ago, the Rana Plaza factory collapsed in Bangladesh, killing over 1,100 garment workers.
The fashion industry said 'never again' – but today brands are still cutting corners, trying to avoid their responsibility for the safety of their workers.
Sanctioned Russian oligarch Mikhail Fridman – whose UK assets are frozen and who’s barred from doing business in the UK – is suing the UK.
How? Through secret corporate courts that let corporations & the super-rich bully governments.

Palestinians in Israeli prisons face widespread and systematic torture.
Despite overwhelming evidence, Israel continues to torture them with impunity.
We demand justice for the Palestinian people.
Israel has killed more than 100 Palestinian prisoners since it began its genocide in the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
Today, #PalestinianPrisonersDay, 9500+ Palestinians are being held as political prisoners by Israel.

Governments are meeting at the first global conference on transitioning away from fossil fuels.
But the real question is: who decides – and in whose interests?
The #SantaMarta conference must be a turning point.

A fossil fuel corporation is suing the UK for millions in public money after being blocked from opening the Cumbria coal mine.💰
Corporations shouldn’t be able to bully governments for implementing policies that protect the planet.

New UK oil & gas fields like Rosebank won't deliver energy security.
If approved, they’ll undermine the UK’s climate leadership – and risk driving further fossil fuel expansion globally.
We need clean, affordable energy – not more fossil fuels.

In Lebanon, Iran, Syria – and the occupied Palestinian territory – it’s ordinary people who pay the price.
The US and Israel must permanently end the war in Iran and attacks across the region – and be held to account for the death, displacement & destruction they are inflicting.
srael has killed over 1,400 Lebanese people, including 53 medical workers, forced five hospitals to close and carried out forced displacement.
The forced displacement and intentional targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure are war crimes.
The US and Iran have announced a temporary ceasefire – but Israel says it doesn’t include Lebanon.
Israel is extending its occupation into Lebanon – repeating what it did in Gaza – displacing over a million people, blowing up bridges and stealing land. www.theguardian.com/world/2026/a...
US President Donald Trump has repeatedly called the climate crisis a hoax, while Argentina’s President Milei has downplayed its reality.
At a time when world leaders are spreading misinformation – what exactly are the facts about our rapidly heating world?

In the West Bank, Israeli settlers attack Palestinians daily.
Israel is escalating its annexation of the West Bank – illegally incorporating more of the Palestinian territory it occupies into the state of Israel.

Israel has attacked Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on 147 of the 169 days since the ‘ceasefire’ began, killing over 691 Palestinians.
Stocks of tents and other essential supplies are dwindling as Israel has increased restrictions on humanitarian aid entering.
Israel is occupying huge parts of South Lebanon and planning to destroy homes along the border to prevent the return of about 600,000 Lebanese people.
Israel and the US are bombarding Iran – killing at least 1,900 Iranians so far, and injuring over 24,000.
Israel’s new death penalty law is apartheid in action: the same crime, but a different punishment based on your race.
But that isn’t all Israel is doing. Here’s what you’ve missed. ⬇️🧵
A decision on whether to approve the Rosebank oil field is due soon – and pressure is mounting in UK parliament.
Rosebank won’t cut bills or deliver energy security. It will only worsen climate breakdown.

500,000 of us marched this Saturday against the far-right – against division, and for hope.
While corporations and the super-rich profit from destruction, they want us blaming each other.
But this weekend, we stood together.❤️
#together
“Enough of a system that puts endless profit before people.”
Powerful words from War on Want’s Tyrone Scott at yesterday’s Together Alliance march against the far right.
Solidarity over division. People over profit. Together, another future is possible.
We’re in London with hundreds of thousands of others, standing against the far right – and fighting for a future rooted in justice, solidarity & hope.
The far right wants us to blame each other for inequality while corporations and billionaires profit.
We reject their politics of division.
TOMORROW: we march together in London to reject the far-right's politics of division.

NEXT must act now to:
💷Pay a real living wage in the UK
🛑Stop rights violations in its supply chain
👗Place clothing orders from unionised factories where workers can collectively bargain for better wages and conditions
Allegations of workers’ rights violations in NEXT’s associated factories trail across Asia – in Pakistan, NEXT has subjected garment workers to extreme heat without protection, leaving many chronically ill.
NEXT’s CEO, Lord Simon Wolfson, makes more than 219 times what a UK retail assistant makes annually, and around 4449 times as much as a garment worker in Sri Lanka.
NEXT's profits are up 14.5% this year to £1.1 billion – while workers in its supply chain struggle to make ends meet as the cost-of-living rises everywhere.
This is a ‘success’ story only for NEXT’s CEOs and shareholders – who took home £839 million in last year. 🧵
Shell and other fossil-fuel polluters have made billions from fuelling climate and ecosystem collapse.
Now, they need to pay to fix it:

Year on year, the right to protest has been eroded – with new laws and expanded police powers used disproportionately in London.
This morning, we backed @netpol.org's call to hold the Met police accountable.
The right to protest must be protected – in the UK & globally.
