THAT'S MY FIRST BASEMAN
Agreed.
Jet is the man. So underrated.
Dang it, man. Seeing reports both here and on Twitter.
RIP Terrance Gore. Coolest Royal ever.
LAZ.
God that's gorgeous.
When I get home tonight, I can send some stuff on how he plays in our roster and the numbers from '49
Yes! I meant to tag those two.
Gave them a big shout in the live stream we did earlier yesterday evening.
The homie @ant718.bsky.social has archived everything in his database as well.
Another great resource to find all of the guides necessary to play this project. Uniforms, stadiums, everything.

The beginning off integration, the fall of the Negro Leagues, the rise of the Golden Age of Baseball.
Aging wartime powerhouses, rising stars that dominated the 1950s, and numerous faces from outside baseball in America.
ATG Post War: Golden Age is here.
We've talked about returning to this era for a few years now, and the time was right. It was always in the form of remaking the original Post War project, but with further Major League designations of Negro League play, 1949 grew into our next big adventure.
SABR, Retrosheet, Seamheads, Baseball Reference.
Several websites we've utilized in the past continue to be a great resource for what we do.
Another thanks to @adarowski.bsky.social for his Outsider Baseball database. The organization done there allowed us to further hone in ratings for our non-MLBers, and add depth to our Free Agents section.
Massive thanks to those involved.
Want to send some specific shout outs to @buckweaver.bsky.social and @bballhist.bsky.social for providing season data and player data for the 1949 Negro League campaign. Having the rosters and stats for these clubs pushed this project into existence.
Hoping this works.
Rebrand guide, stadium list, and many of the other files shared to us and used by are include here. alabama.box.com/s/whjxj06lkk...
Bio for Tony Castaño. Not provided in full due to character limitations.
Big milestone for the way-too-ambitious-but-I’m-doing-it-anyway personal project: one bio down, 863 to go.
This one is for the baseball history homies.
Yesterday afternoon was the official graduation ceremony for me. If there was going to be one time I wore my Dai Nippon jersey.... it was this.
Genuinely just need a series talking about these guys.
I would be all in.
Lázaro Salazar was born 112 years ago today. I have an extended break coming up. During that I’m going to pour a bunch of time into a project that he inspired. If it proves viable, I can’t wait to tell you about it.
I adore Lázaro Salazar. Why? I think I need replies to fit that…
Excellent thread on a man who has a case to be the coolest player outside of baseball in the U.S.
Laz has been one of my favorite Outsiders. Seeing Cooperstown introduce their exhibit on Japanese Baseball, it only reaffirms my belief that there is a space for Salazar and many others in Cooperstown.
Big thanks, my friend.
Thanks, Adam. Much appreciated.
Met a lot of great artists this semester, and it's killing me a bit now that I'm technically done. Was given full permission to use the photo space as long as I'm in town, so it isn't like I'm never going to see these peers again.
Still a bit bittersweet.
Oh this is sick.
Taking Spring/Summer off and most likely kickstarting things again next Fall pursuing a Museum Studies certificate while hunting for archival/collections internships.
For now, I'm going to go shoot and develop a ton of film. Photography rules.
My time at UA started rough, but the last three semesters have been the most rewarding and validating.
Working through my Public History concentration and my Art minor has introduced me to so many amazing minds and opportunities that I never anticipated.
Monday marked the final day of undergrad classes for me. I will be graduating Saturday.
5 and 1/2 years of college, one Associate's degree, and now a BA in History. It's a strange, exciting and kind of sad feeling.
Putting together some uniform references for the 1949 project. Negro League stuff is just hard to come by, at least for photos, that late in the league's run.
Doing some photo hunting....
Anyone familiar with the Kansas City Monarchs have any photos of what their road uniforms possibly looked like in 1949? I have the home unis. Just having trouble finding if they had different roads or used one uni set. @adarowski.bsky.social @buckweaver.bsky.social
