Haha, du hast "Nanny State" geschrieben, nicht "staatliche Regulierungen". Mein Punkt war eher die unpassende Verwendung des Begriffs, um gesellschaftliche Verhältnisse zu verschleiern, also als Ideologie im engeren Sinn. Und da ist "Eigenverantwortung" ein heißer Kandidat.

Und klar, das libertäre Menschenbild finde ich strunznaiv. Wichtiger: solange wir uns gegenseitig über Steuern und öffentliche KVen helfen ist das mE de facto keine Eigenverantwortung. Es geht also nicht nur um die Axiome sondern evtl auch um die Zielvorstellung des gesellschaftlichen Miteinanders.

Das ist wohl so. Wobei ich Eigenverantwortung an sich gar nicht ablehne, nur ihre unpassende Verwendung. Hätten wir ein vollständig entsolidarisiertes Gesundheitssystem würde es passen: alle zahlen ihre med. Behandlungen selbst oder bezahlen private Versicherungen dafür das beizeiten zu tun!

Und wenn es angeblich so "unklar" ist wer vom Status Quo profitiert dann wüsste ich gerne was der Grund für die PR gegen alle Versuche einer Steuerung seitens der Lebensmittel- und Süßwarenindustrie sind. Kostenlose Politikberatung wird es kaum sein.

Naja, konkrete Beispiele gibt es ja international genug. Ich halte Argumente die auf "freie Konsumentscheidung", "Eigenverantwortung" etc. abheben für Augenwischerei, die dafür sorgen soll dass die Externalitäten von Zucker-Überkonsum schön bleiben was sie sind, nämlich Kosten der Allgemeinheit.

Die Unterschiede zu Tabak und Alkohol sind m.E. graduell, nicht absolut. Die SSB-Steuer in Frankreich erhöht die Kosten für entsprechende Getränke um 16-25 cent pro Liter, während die Tabaksteuer weit mehr als die Hälfte des Kaufpreises ausmacht.

Wie gesagt, ich finde es müßig, diese Maßnahmen isoliert zu diskutieren. Niemand erhofft sich ernsthaft von einer Zuckersteuer allein die Lösung. Und wer profitiert, wenn *nicht* reguliert wird, sollte eh klar sein.

Die Tabaksteuer trifft auch die mit geringem SES „härter“ - genau so wie die gesundheitlichen Folgen seines Konsums und auch nur dann wenn man die eine Steuer isoliert betrachtet. Ist ja nicht so als könnte man anderweitig Entlastung schaffen.

Man kann nur froh sein dass die Anschnallpflicht 1974 eingeführt wurde und nicht heute.
