Kids, where are we looking these days for fucked up poly? Preferably with poor communication skills. Please do not mention hockey boys, I have the only dad from Wisconsin who never got into hockey and I cannot go there.
Rereading my own fic and remembering fondly when I could fucking write.
A dumb little orange boy who can’t tell a window from a door.
Every time I open the window, he comes RUNNING from wherever he was in the apartment and tries to get in through the window. Which is a window.
They are really cheerful, aren’t they?
I missed all the excitement - apparently there was a snake in the library this morning.
Again, if a customer wants to ensure that their mailpiece receives a postmark, and that the date on the postmark aligns with the date of mailing, the customer may take the mailpiece to a Postal Service retail location and request a manual (local) postmark at the retail counter when tendering their mailpiece. The manual postmark will be applied free of charge.
For anyone mailing their #taxes today - take them to the post office, hand them to an employee, and ask for a manual postmark. Otherwise the USPS can't guarantee they'll be postmarked today.

A new independent audit says that Google, Meta, Microsoft are all still tracking users even after they opt out. 55 percent of the sites it checked set ad cookies in a user’s browser even if they opted out of tracking.
The companies all disputed it

Eliminating libraries in prisons is a disaster, completely shortsighted. Libraries are a lifeline for incarcerated people who want to learn and grow, and have few other options.
A black and white photo of Katherine Johnson, the "Hidden Figure" that sent man into space
A photo of Vanessa Wyche, director of the Johnson Space Center and NASA's highest ranking civil service member
Let it be known that Katherine Johnson was the reason for the first astronauts in space.
And now Vanessa Wyche, head of the Johnson Space Center and NASA's highest ranking civil servant, is the responsible for the longest manned space flight in history
Thornfruit by Felicia Davin. The cover is red with white flowers.

My novel Thornfruit is the first entry in a fantasy trilogy that has a polyam romance at its heart (2 cis women & a genderfluid man), and it's about what if you had such a bad crush on a girl that you passed out every time she touched you. Also: it's on sale for 99¢ at indiebook.sale
That’s what I’ve got. I’m still getting over 95% of the data, which is good enough for me. I don’t want to attach my phone to my medical data.
Show me your AO3 reading history, Ryan.
Makes sense since older models required manual scanning. Probably the automatic alerts etc are what need all that.
29 years ago today, Mrs. Krabappel and Principal Skinner were in the closet making babies and Ralph Wiggum saw one of the babies and the baby looked at Ralph.
#TheSimpsons episode “Grade School Confidential” first aired April 6, 1997.

NASA isn't why the US doesn't have universal healthcare, or a social safety net. The US doesn't have those things because politicians with the power to provide them choose specifically not to (with varying levels of support from voters). Enthusiasm for human spaceflight doesn't drive that choice.
I did! Our local sheep and wool festival is coming up next month, and the weaving guild I’m part of helps with some events. We have a meeting on Tuesday and someone will be there to pick up items for the crafting display/competition, so I talked myself into making something.

Sometimes, when you are avoiding actual deadlines, you can make a fake deadline.
This also happens between the network and showrunners/producers. I’ve occasionally been called in when a show is in trouble or shut down, and you’d be surprised the number of times we’ve identified, if not *fixed* the problem when I ask “what show do you think you’re making?” and the answers clash.
Honestly being ambushed by 32 Down on the Robert Mackenzie is the best argument for owning your own music.
Doing a little voodoo in the stacks with PG arms \o/
You're not going to believe this but it's a man wearing Roman armour, walking a black lamb on a lead. You don't need to know this but the lamb is called Emily.
Sometimes your working day gives you more joy than you could ever have hoped for.
