Life update! Quit my job earlier in the week. Kid joked about shooting me, parent called me a liar and raised hell against me.

BUT I, uh, confessed my feelings to my crush, and we have an actual, official date.

For a split second I thought this was crossworlds and was VERY excited.

Help. I am very bad at communicating intentions in dating and have been talking with this very lovely woman for months.

We've gone out on several occasions and even got her flowers, I just can't seem to muster the courage to confirm if these are dates 🫠

Starting to feel more and more incompatible with the world around me. More theater companies are pivoting to ai to advertise the show, accepting sponsorships from SpaceX, etc.

Teaching especially has made a hard push for AI to replace designers for our shows, and it's just very discouraging.

Love to be chastised for following chain of command and trying to follow the protocols taught to me.

And they have the audacity to constantly complain about the noise from my class despite me being, yknow, theatre arts.

So for context, to make room for... something? They took my old theatre arts room away and turned it into storage/extra rehearsal space for band. They shoved me into the general education hall in a room that's 1/10 the size and tripled my numbers.

In all honesty, my work situation has been my biggest stressor in what otherwise is a pretty good time in my life.

Stuck up for myself to my boss today. Let's see how that goes.
