I love that #Daredevil Born Again is addressing the Thin Blue Line/law enforcement folks using the Punisher logo

The Fisk/Murdock conceit is set up so deliciously. They are polar opposites, but are they? They might be villain vs hero, good vs bad, but the show juxtapositions these two in ways that are more parallels than opposites.

Even with the rewrites, they kept in the legal subplots because they serve to undermine Matt's loss of confidence in the legal system (again) which leads him taking up the mantle (again). As always, his conflict between justice and extrajudicial methods is one of the core dilemmas of this show.

I only started watching in 2024, and thought, omg, this is so relevant right now. The Fisk/Trump parallels would be too obvious, as if the show wasn't made a decade earlier. But it still offered escapism (and hope) for the triumph of law over massive corruption.

The legal cases in #Daredevil Born Again S1 are so relevant and timely for this current moment: the role of the legal system on systems and individuals, the role of criminalization on social mobility, corruption and dismantling of due process, militarization of law enforcement.

I actually can't comment publicly about my back. But I am hanging in there! I did get a steroid injection in my hip, which has been in pain since everything happened, and it did help!

S3 Daredevil is one of those rare seasons on television where almost nothing about it can be improved by fanfic. I mean, sure, certain people can stay alive, but other than that, the season is absolutely perfect the way it is.
