well well well. im back again and still thinking about that damn television. this comic can be considered a bit of a spiritual followup to Smile for the Camera, at least theme-wise, and expresses a lot about tenna that i didnt really get to explore! #deltarune #tenna

punishment (he punishes himself enough quite frankly) and i think about literally all the horrible things that have happened or Can happen to him and i put my head in my hands. i think about him so so much its not even funny. His. everything about him hurts me so so bad 💔

things he cant have or things he shouldnt be Allowed to have as a darkner. its such a knife twist of a character trait especially for somebody like tenna who just. Does not deserve the fate hes been given. Hes certainly made mistakes, and done wrong but the crime does Not equal the (3/4)

most especially the Dreemurrs ofc, who he has come to see as His family. a big part of the tragedy of him 2 me is not that he was doomed to die by fate, but rather that he is doomed to never be part of or be able to participate in the things he wants to the most. I love how much he wants (2/4)

thank you very much!! ive been spinning tenna around in my brain for so many months and hes just so... full of shame and grief and Guilt and self hatred and the longing of 1000000 suns. i think often about how much his motives directly surround his family and his longing to be Part of one, (1/4)

some people find that adding content warnings to stuff cheapens works but i find it infinitely more valuable to tell people whats in something right on the tin. i think its important for people to be able to browse safely + at their own discretion when they are ready to engage with it! (3/3)

Tenna holds up a baby Kris. Kris stands before Tenna, his arms cut off laying in the snow, pipis found next ot him. "Your arms were made for carrying, to comfort and give care, your wish to have and then to hold lay beside you, undeserving." "You're the TV after all, and you weren't made for this."

Tenna sits hunched over the pipis. Carrying it in his arms, he imagines instead that it is Kris. "That of which you cannot have, and never will achieve unravels itself before you in an endless sea of grief."

A view of the Dreemurr house appears within Tenna's abdomen, hands cloying for something he cannot reach. He stands before Kris, far from the TV studio. "You know it would never suit you. And it really never should have. You've been a bad TV, and your first mistake was to want."

In the depths of his despair, Tenna smashes into the reflection in the mirror. As he is TV world, he focuses on the goings-on of his crew within his studio and imagines the Green Room within his womb. "For your love is unacceptable, Too intense and long and far, And cold and dread starts seeping in While guilt blooms amidst all you are within"

A spiral into hell depicts Spamton signing Tenna's contract, running away, and Tenna picking up the phone. Outside the spiral, Toriel is on the phone, and Noelle - and the laptop, is sent home. The shelter is seen at the center of the spiral, and Kris hides behind a wall. "You deserve everything. You deserved it all. Every little misstep leads you farther into hell." "You've remained an empty nest. A promise to keep them safe in your guard, cherished and warm within your bounds, falls renounced and unrequited."

The pipis is shown to be cracking, or hatching, almost as if its a black hole or a whole universe. "For what's it in an egg? When you peel the layers back? To look inside and know for certain what's beneath those shallow cracks." "But you can never know for sure. You will never really know. You missed that chance to look inside, instead spilled way to its contents."

Though they share a desire to be close, their motives differ. Spamton continues his discussions with his benefactor, and Tenna imagines himself holding Kris close as their parents argue. "But as the divide grows ever greater, so too does your desire. Every spark you wish for calm, to have them relish safe within your arms."

Tenna looks into the mirror with a pillow stuffed inside of his shirt trying to emulate Toriel. A figure in the doorway, Spamton, interrupts him. "That envy for their brilliance cracks shame within your core. But you deserve it, don't you? To find use outside your purpose?"

Early-era Tenna looks out into the lightworld, where he sees Toriel while she is pregnant with Asriel. He begins to think to himself. "It began to knock within your tube: Fantasies, dreams, and thoughts. Those all the more befitting of someone above your make and model."
