Hi everyone! As we're planning out our Kickstarter campaign, we'd love to hear from folks who've been through it before.

What advice do you have for a new & relatively unknown studio? Anything you wish you'd done differently for your campaign?

This industry is dumb. We just want to make cool games for people to play.

It used to be that was hard just by the nature of the job, now it's hard because even if you succeed you still risk being punished for no fault of your own after having your labor exploited.

Assuming people can get funding they need, what others things are a problem? Seems like funding is the biggest but then next is discoverability as others here pointed out already

There's a misconception that because good indie games are coming out, the indie game industry is doing well. This is absolutely not true

Nobody can get funding for anything and the only way to make an indie game is to sacrifice years of your life

Even then you're just one among thousands in a year

This is back open; if you're part of a (massive) layoff in the game industry you can request a product of mine for free. It's not much, but it might help you in your journey ahead. 🫂
