As a Browns fan the draft is always exciting, so it should be an interesting night.
Starting Thursday night mockdrafthero.com will be updating as the draft unfolds so that you can draft based on picks and trades that have already been made. A "Start from Scratch" option will still be available, but if you want to do a second round draft based on first round results then have at it!
mockdrafthero.com update for today: there's now a FAQ available by clicking on the "About" header menu item and then choosing the FAQ tab. For everyone who wonders how the AI decides to make a pick, or has asked how to change teams mid-draft, those questions now have answers.
Pick suggestions are now provided in the https://mockdrafthero.com UI when it's your turn to pick.
mockdrafthero.com will now show pick suggestions when it is your turn to pick. You can configure the number of suggestions (or turn it off entirely) from the settings.
Mock Draft Hero Trade button show a badge with the number of available trade offers.
A small mockdrafthero.com update tonight: there's now a badge on the "Trade" button when it's your turn to pick with the number of trade offers available. Also, you now get up to 4 offers (was 3) with a random likelihood of 1, 2, 3 or 4 offers. I don't do UI, but hopefully this is a useful addition.
Two mockdrafthero.com updates today:
1. The "Trade" button no longer disables during drafts. I don't remember why it ever disabled in the first place, so please report any issues. A few trade edge cases were also fixed.
2. The 2027 draft order now uses Super Bowl odds to determine draft position.

mockdrafthero.com now offers a dark mode for those who like to draft in the dark but worry about eye strain. Colors are still being tweaked and will probably change a bit in the coming weeks. As always please report any bugs and suggest any improvements.
Thanks for the feedback and suggestion! Do you know of any other sites that implement a similar feature that could be used as an example? Your idea will go on the suggestion list, but unfortunately there won't be many more new features before the draft, so this may need to wait for the 2027 cycle.
Sorry, I meant "select the team, make the pick, and then de-select the team to allow auto-picking to resume". 300 characters is challenging.
The way to do it today (as you've noted) is to select the team, make the pick, and then de-select to allow-picking. I'm thinking through how to have a draft partially pre-filled so that after day 1 & 2 of the draft you can draft remaining day 2 & 3 picks, so I'll consider your scenario, too. Thanks!

Players bios on mockdrafthero.com now include all NFL Combine testing results. If you draft based on 40-yard dash time or bench press reps, or if you have an unhealthy obsession with hand size, that data is now available.
The NFL announced compensatory picks, so the draft order on mockdrafthero.com is now final, minus someone figuring out what picks were actually traded between LV and BUF for Taron Johnson, and whatever remaining shenanigans teams engage in between now and April 23.
In the ongoing battle to simplify the mockdrafthero.com UI a few changes will be going live tomorrow. The "Show/Hide Filters" button is sadly dying, allowing other buttons to move around. This change frees up space on mobile, and gives more room for team details on web. Feedback is appreciated!
- A change last week introduced bugs when trading future picks, and it is now fixed. Reported by friend-of-the-site T.C.
- A longstanding bug where the "Undo" button wouldn't properly undo a pick that included multiple trades has now been fixed.

Several mockdrafthero.com changes tonight:
- Player height and weight data has been updated with combine measurements. Thanks Reddit user Bshu_jordan for compiling this data!
- Relative Athletic Scores (RAS) are now included in player bios when available.
Mock Draft Hero draft results showing trades of players.
Players can now be included in trades on mockdrafthero.com; if you have creative ways to find new homes for Tua and Kyler in 2026 then this new feature should be a lot of fun.
Feedback and bug reports would be much appreciated as this change was trickier than normal to implement.
Sneak preview: for the surprisingly large number of people who have requested it, you will soon be able to create trades that include players.
It may be anywhere from a day to a week+ to finish implementation, but player trades are coming to mockdrafthero.com.
There have been sporadic reports that the "Save Results as Image" functionality on mockdrafthero.com fails or creates an image that is missing styles. An update this morning should hopefully fix that, but please post a detailed bug report here or to the feedback email if you still see issues.

For the *checks notes* zero people who were requesting it, you can now select 2027 from the settings in mockdrafthero.com and choose between Arch Manning, Dante Moore and Jeremiah Smith for your team's 2027 roster.

A change requested by Redditors just went live on mockdrafthero.com. Now if a pick is traded more than once the details of all trades (and not just the most recent one) are shown in the results. Hopefully this clears up any confusion when posting mocks about how a team ended up with a specific pick.

After reports of autotrade offers that channeled 1999 Mike Ditka, additional guardrails have been put in place. The algorithm is now less likely to trade far up the board, and will better focus on trades for positions of need or that return good value.

The week of many UI updates for mockdrafthero.com continues: the draft window now displays school logos for prospects! The tiny tiger paws, bison, wolf packs, and hawkeyes has made our entire dev team (which is one person) surprisingly happy; hopefully everyone else enjoys this new addition, too.
The Christmas update for mockdrafthero.com includes some UI tweaks to expose trade details in the selections screen and to make things prettier overall. "Prettier" in this case is coming from someone who stares at code for a living, so feedback is very welcome if you have UI improvement ideas.

The mobile UI of mockdrafthero.com gets an overhaul tonight with a new "Draft Selections / Available Players" toggle. Mobile users on small screens no longer need to use a tiny edge of the screen to constantly scroll up and down to switch between draft selections and available players.
