Turns out the answer to 'how do I stick my bass traps on the walls of my booth' is to just pluck out the pre-existing padding and let it just sit snugly in-between 🫠

The question of 'what specific microphone' comes down to your intended usage and more importantly your acoustic treatment. Accounting for poor acoustic treatment, my go-to is usually recommending a shotgun microphone like the MKE600, as it's a lot more forgiving on the receiving of external noise.

It depends on your intent and where you're at with your voice over. If you have the budget for it, I recommend picking up an XLR mic, and an interface. Long-term, they're just better. If you're just having fun with small personal projects, and aren't doing any serious work, USB is also fine.
