Must be them bit flips caused by cosmic rays...
...yeah, gotta be.

I see VSCodium, I upvote!
Kidding aside, looking good! Keep it up! π
Tinfoil hat conspiracy:
The feature to skip sending emails if the user disabled email notifications was probably vibe coded π
I'd say more brainwashed or manipulated by hype rather than dumb, tbh.
And unfortunately, the stories I've heard are from all over the place. UK, EU, US, Canada.. it's like all CEOs attended the same sh!t class.
But I remain hopeful that there are wise CEOs out there, who see through it all.
And if you refuse to use AI?
You get fired or layed-off.
If you push back against the unsustainable pace of development?
You get labeled as negative and lacking team spirit.
Only way to actually own your methodology is to do your own thing I suppose.
From experience, but from others in the field whom I talk to regularly as well, it's because higher-ups say so. They demand you to use AI for everything, whether you like it or not. They demand to see your coding setup or fire you if you refuse.
People put up with it because they need a paycheck.
And it's only April... *sighs*
Been working on Quote Library so intensively these past months that I completely forgot I didn't even have a landing page for it π€¦ββοΈ
Well not anymore! π
I can't take credit for the painting! I merely cut it out from a cardboard box I had from a previous purchase.
But the easel was: chopsticks + glue + a sharp knife + patience π
Thanks! Ah, that was cut from the cardboard box where a sticker I bought of that same painting came in!
Just seemed to awesome to throw away π
I think I got a new hobby!
Quite proud of how it turned out, considering it was a first attempt at repurposing the take-away sushi sticks π
Yep, know exactly what you mean. I still put gloves on every time I need to go there.
However, @sifa.id is looking more a more like a promising replacement!
While I emphasise with the sentiment, I found a bsky post the other day recommending turning on the "chronological timeline" there, and I kid you not, it actually makes it bearable!
It's like turning the FOMO know all the way down. Magic!
There's a way to find out... π
Finally, some good news at last!
Congrats to the Hungarian people for their unity against autocracy, showing us all that not giving up is the way.

I visited NYC 2y ago around this time, and it was so unexpectedly beautiful!
Never had been before, so to find so many blossoming trees and birds everywhere was such a pleasant surprise π
Uhh that is super neat!
Thanks a lot for sharing! π
Getting the urge to make 3D experiences/clips for musics I've been listening lately.
I think it'd be a neat way to combine 2 things I have a passion for: music & coding
βThe appropriate response to their work being targeted by nation-state actors should not be to warn enterprises away from their packages. It should be to fund, support, and protect them.β
Plenty of amazing things here already, but what the heck π
An offline first android app built with Svelte and Tauri, enabling access to your quotes or highlights from your favourite books!
I... am out of words for this π
Truly amazing work @paolo.ricciuti.me ! ππ
People out there going to the moon and taking pics of the whole world...
... and here I am, doing the dishes π
Supporting iOS was initially my plan. However, I'd need access to a Mac in order to develop, test & build the app, which is not the case right now.
It's a bummer really, since a lot of people have voiced interest in the app already but have iPhones, therefore cannot try it out π
Indeed! Major love for SQLite and its ease of use π
Yep, book covers are uploaded by the user atm! My reasoning was, if you're adding the book, you likely have it in some way, shape or form. Otherwise, they're easily downloadable anyway.
It was also my first go at building for Android, so it has been a fun/challenging learning experience!
I'm quite pleased with how it is looking at the moment.
Also, SQLite has definitely a place in my heart by now π
It definitely is! Especially given how powerful devices are nowadays.
I'm building Quote Library, an app which allows people to save their favourite quotes from books they've read.
The goal was to make those quotes easy to revisit, since often I just highlighted smtg never to read it again.. π
Svelte in the terminal... now that's something π
Even though my app is still only used by a handful of people, it's great to hear that building it offline first has payed off.
"Love that I can use it on a plane and it still works! Also, feels super fast!"
I hear you π
Wonder how much ram @sifa.id needs... π
Doubt it's even remotely close though!
