Anytime I find myself feeling anxious I always start by asking...

Am I Prepared?

If I'm not, that's always the first step.

If I am?

Then it's time to let it go

I'd definitely go no logo at all, as it will often require a "download image" prompt for recipients

I'd go pure plain text with just written signature of the institution name at the bottom

Logged back in and ready for a very late night working session

It's just too hard to give up the weekends with the family

Would rather give up an overnight between Sunday->Monday

Obviously would prefer to not have to give up either, but still getting there!

I think we gotta be unfiltered here or else it’s not worth juggling yet another platform

I keep two To Do lists...

The first, with the short-term tasks I regrettably need to prioritize and complete

The second, called "Long-Term Focus" is the list of stuff I actually should be focused on as a CEO

Here is what's actual on my "Long-Term Focus" list right now...

Running your own business is so insanely hard

At my last job I managed a way bigger team with a way bigger budget, but man it was a cake walk compared to entrepreneurship

I love the journey of building my own business, but man it really does age you

My hats off to everyone in the arena

Ooo interesting! That makes sense too

Setting big goals? Easy

Accepting present state as whole and complete? Hard

Accepting present as whole and complete WHILE still embracing the beauty that comes from pursuing lofty pursuits? Hardest

The problem with big goals is that they can inadvertently delay happiness because it often unintentionally internally implies you aren't enough until they're achieved

I used to read business books because I was subconsciously motivated by fear

I filled all my free time trying to get better and prepare for someone intangible future battled I was convinced I'd find myself in

That era certainly made me better at business, but man, what a hollow pursuit

Is this the place where I get to free form share again?

Forgo the formalized LinkedIn insights and professionally produced newsletter and podcast?

Just share and connect?

Because it's been so long since I got to do that I almost feel like I forgot how
