Stop debating whether your pricing page needs 3 or 4 tiers. The brain doesn't care about the number of options—it cares about the contrast between them.
It's called the Decoy Effect, and it's a structural revenue lever. Read my full breakdown here: 👇

A 2025 study of 3.6M wine transactions found decoy options shift purchasing behaviour — but only modestly (~1%). The Decoy Effect is real. It's just not magic. Pricing architecture matters. Are yours working?

Uncomfortable stat:
When we prompt ChatGPT with buyer-intent searches, the majority of brands we audit don't appear.
Their competitors do.
GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) is the next SEO. Most brands haven't started.
We include a GEO audit in every funnel diagnostic.

These are 5 of the 50+ biases we audit against in every funnel.
Most brands are leaking revenue on at least 8–12 of them. Right now.
Repost if any of these showed up on your site.
And follow — I'm launching a tool next week that finds all of them, automatically.

5/ The Commitment Gradient
Asking cold traffic to "Book a Demo" is like proposing on a first date.
It's too much. The relationship isn't there yet.
Micro-commitments first: free audit, free checklist, free tool.
Each small yes makes the next yes easier.
Your funnel needs a gradient, not a cliff.
4/ Social Proof Misplacement
You have testimonials. Great.
But if they're at the bottom of the page, you've already lost 70% of visitors.
Social proof needs to appear at the exact moment of hesitation — usually next to your CTA or pricing.
Location matters more than the testimonial itself.
3/ The Fluency Heuristic
If your page is hard to read, visitors unconsciously decide your product is hard to use.
Not consciously. Automatically.
Dense copy, small fonts, cluttered layouts — they don't just look bad. They trigger distrust.
Readability = perceived product quality.
2/ Loss Aversion (used backwards)
"Get more leads" = weak.
"Stop losing leads to competitors" = 2x more motivating.
Humans feel losses ~2x more intensely than equivalent gains.
Most CTAs are written around gain. Flip yours around loss and watch click-through rates move.
1/ The Paradox of Choice
You give visitors 4 pricing plans. They read all 4.
Then they leave.
Too many options triggers decision paralysis.
The fix: lead with ONE recommended plan. Let them opt down or up from there.
Your "flexibility" is costing you conversions.
5 cognitive biases that are silently destroying your SaaS conversion rate.
Most founders have no idea these are even happening.

Hi Bluesky 👋
I audit SaaS funnels for cognitive leaks.
What it means: I find the hidden psychological patterns that make visitors bounce — even when your design and offer are solid.
Follow for weekly teardowns, bias breakdowns, and what's working in 2026. No fluff. Just patterns that convert.
Yes and no, if you force certain bias in your digital journey you'll get the opposite effect.
Our brains are lazy, but not stupid.
Think:
• Too many pricing tiers (paradox of choice)
• CTAs framed around gain instead of loss (loss aversion)
• Testimonials far from the buy button (social proof misplacement)
Launching a tool next week that finds these automatically. Drop a follow if you want early access. 🔬
