prego sauce should make you pregnant
a soft looking and somewhat worn felt swan with a big beak and trailing feathers
thinking about this 1500 year old plush swan made of reindeer wool
Yes, dragons are real. Hairy bush viper.
I think about this a lot with TV/movie ratings for fake violence even. Showing a boob is not allowed, but heroes can punch the shit out of people and that's perfectly fine.
I'm not saying that makes people violent necessarily, but perhaps subconsciously number to physical harm against other people
that was a month ago lmao
It's a snip from another platform. A man sleeps while an huge crab looms over him. Captions say "Don't worry you are not alone" and "We've hired a crab to watch over you". The comment on the post is "Crab Museum takes no responsibility for it smashing your flat to bits in search of tidbits of algae, whale flesh, or a simple good time. Frankly, we're as baffled as you are.
Why isn't Margate's Crab Museum on Bluesky?
We need answers. 🦀
Disregarding, for a moment, that this law is obviously just intended to attack Queer folks in Ohio, especially trans folks (as a trans person in Ohio, it's pretty obvious)
I also still think it's wild we're afraid of kids seeing a boob but perfectly fine with kids witnessing violence, real and fake
what if every pope is the same guy regenerating like in dr who
Which then boils down to something like this:
i think the huge empire was closer to communism than the greeks were
hmmm, who am i gonna side with, a bunch of squabbling pederasts obsessed with smelling their own philosophical farts, or those guys who forged the world's largest empire yet and kept it going for over two centuries (take that alexander!) by being fair and tolerant administrators
im on team achaemenid sorry not sorry
seminal moment for western civilization, those greek assholes did a thing
yeah i mean you can arguably go "oh the schism was a west versus east" but i was responding to a book of mine claiming that the hellenic repelling of the achaemenids was "a seminal moment in western civilization"

Egrets--and their almost-extinction due to habitat loss, hunting, and fashion-- are one of the reasons we have any protections for birds!
How fucking selfish do you have to be to think you have the right to get rid of such an animal for bothering you?
www.smithsonianmag.com/history/migr...
Wow did this article make me just sick with fury
Fort Worth residents hate nesting neighbor egrets so much they're trying to get Ted Cruz to pass a law removing them from Migratory Bird protections??

i think if you're talking about "western civilization" when talking about any society prior to the age of colonial empires and forging of a racist worldview to justify them, you are communicating white supremacy
the humble sirenians:
advertising technology in the 1990s: look at this “website” you can “surf”. it has an image of a cat on it
advertising technology in the 2020s: you must adopt this now or die. we are going to completely kill you if you don’t download this app immediately
nice
oh, i'm quite aware. i just mean that if a kid comes home showing signs of abuse, a gay or trans parent is more likely to pick up on that
when in the cretaceous?
Genuinely excellent apology from The National for running a transphobic advert.
this is one of the most offensive things I've seen in years
gay and trans parents are more likely to be alert to the possibility of abuse by authority figures in their kids' lives
The Catholic Church, y'all.
