also imo if you don't understand the language at a VERY high level it becomes a lot harder to write good jokes/wordplay or add subtle details, you can argue that's why you'd get a team to do it but it will NEVER be the same

i also found a fucking weird unsent email in my drafts from 2021 that's in chinese with no subject and no email to be sent to
google translate just spits out the exact same chinese text without translating it both in english and spanish, but deepL was able to translate something out of it?
