I dreamed that they were making a Newhart sequel series. It was now a dramedy mystery show with a Twin Peaks vibe, and the only actor returning was Darryl #2. Who can I pitch to make this a reality?

What sequel do you consider to be a large improvement over the original?
Nuts and cheeses. (And chocolate when I actually finish the damn thing!)
Ooh! I get a shout-out in the latest Dr Who Target books podcast! I will try not to let it go to my head too much.
I thought about picking Goldberry just because I figure someone who chose to be in a long term relationship with Tom Bombadil must have a high tolerance for eccentricity (a must for anyone dating me!).

I’m still pissed off about this!
I tried to see Mask of the Phantasm when it came out. Went to the theater and bought a ticket but the theater played A Perfect World instead. Tried to get them to show the right movie but they claimed that they couldn’t stop a movie in progress and instead gave me a gift certificate.

Honestly, any of the 70s PBS shows should probably go there (Sesame Street, Electric Company, Mr Rogers, Zoom) but those are the ones most people seem to be choosing.

I probably spent more time at the (long gone) Hilcrest 4, but my other childhood cinema, the Trail Theater in St. Joe MO, recently reopened as a rep movie house, showing classic films and hosting live events. Hope to catch a film there next time I visit home!
Same here. There wasn’t even a comic book shop in the town where I grew up only a paltry comic rack at the Waldenbooks. So my favorite comics at 13 were pretty much the only comics I read at 13…
