Second pumpkin!

Gonna take care of this little guy who hitched a ride with one of the pumpkins I harvested last week.

Milkweed bug?

I grew my milkweed and coneflowers from seed. I sowed the milkweed seeds just this year and, to my surprise, some of them bloomed already! I did this when the milkweed I got from a nursery last year seemed to kill the caterpillars that ate it.

The milkweed is popular with all kinds of bugs, but there’s a single ladybug that’s always in my milkweed patch.
