For the longest time my headphones and mouse NEEDED to be wired, anything less was too problematic. Then I had to get used to a wireless for a laptop... okay, no big deal, I can adapt. And then I discovered how good wireless headsets are these days and now I own three pairs. Oops. Guess I'm hooked.
